  • Comment: Firstly, why would we need a list of Republican presidencies as a separate concept from the overall list of presidents?
    Secondly, why does this list not include any of the three Republican presidents who followed Ronald Reagan? Thirdly, please note that drafts are not allowed to be filed in categories as if they were already finished articles, per WP:DRAFTNOCAT. Bearcat (talk) 02:27, 22 September 2024 (UTC)

The Republican Party was founded in 1854.[1] They quickly rose to popularity, managing to narrowly lose the 1856 United States presidential election. The first Republican President was Abraham Lincoln in 1861. There have been 19 Republican presidents so far. The last us president who was a Republican was Donald Trump in 2017.

  1. ^ On April 14, 1865 US President Abraham Lincoln was assassinated in Ford's Theater by John Wilkes Booth. He was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead the next day on April 15, 1865. [3]
