The Central District of Kalat County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان کلات) is in Razavi Khorasan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Kalat.[3]

At the National Census in 2006, its population was 22,928 in 5,630 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 22,421 people in 6,086 households.[5] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 21,820 inhabitants in 6,493 households.[2]
After the census, Charam Rural District was established in the district, and Hezarmasjed Rural District was separated from the district in the establishment of Hezarmasjed District.[6]
