I think that Firefly/Serenity and Battlestar Galactica, and even Steven Spielbergs War of the Worlds, are creating a new paradigm of science fiction that is vastly different than New Wave, Cyber Punk, or whatever system ideas and assumptions are present in Star Wars, Star Trek, Babylon 5, etc. What do other people think? Has anyone read anything along these lines? (User:Narkstraws 23:06, 25 December 2005 (UTC))

Space Rangers

Big name star, Linda Hunt. ABC ordered only 6 episodes, allowed critics months of access to the show before broadcast, then only aired four of the episodes in the USA in the wrong order, with the first episode showing last. At the time TV Guide had a Science Fiction Critic. Unfortunately he tended to measure almost every show or movie against Star Trek, and found most of them lacking in comparison.
The show's timeslot was filled with a 'special program' for the next four weeks after cancellation.

Earth: Final Conflict and Andromeda, Firefly
editDitto Earth: Final Conflict and Andromeda, two series which used Roddenberry's name.
[Edit:] Oh yeah, and Firefly is missing and The X-Files is not alphabetized correctly (it's under 'S', IIRC).
