For the record, the example was an edit to Category:Parks established in 1973 by RevelationDirect (talk · contribs) in March 2023, moving it from Category:Parks by year of establishment to Category:Protected areas established in 1973.

It appears to me that it was a slip-up, adding the latter parent without intending to remove the former.

I only found 1973 and 1934 outside Category:Parks by year of establishment when it was time to delete the set. – Fayenatic London 08:12, 15 July 2023 (UTC)

My thoughts would echo those of @4meter4. Frankly, I wonder if this is shouldn't be taken to WP:DRV given 5 merge and 4 keeps by my rough count - certainly no consensus for delete. _{Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here} 08:18, 15 July 2023 (UTC)
