edit@Rathfelder: would you agree to renaming the European "Heads/rectors of universities" categories you created in May 2019 to "Heads/rectors of universities and colleges"? And, by the way, thank you for a useful improvement to the categorisation of universities. I will request the same change for the older categories for consistency. - I've no objection in principle, but I dont think heads of colleges are likely to be called rectors. My idea was that we should go with local usage if there was local usage. Rathfelder (talk) 12:38, 6 November 2019 (UTC)
- @Rathfelder: Thanks, then "Heads of universities and colleges" would be better. Another advantage of heads is that sometimes the institution (or Wikipedia) translates rector as something like president or vice-chancellor in English. TSventon (talk) 13:01, 6 November 2019 (UTC)
- @Rathfelder:, I have submitted a request for speedy renaming of subcategories of Category:Faculty by university or college in Europe to be consistent with subcategories of Category:People by university or college in Europe and Category:Alumni by university or college in Europe. Do you agree in principle with renaming the heads/rectors categories to universities and colleges? I think that using heads is best at national level because English translations seem to vary (including enwiki translations). What do you think? TSventon (talk) 12:32, 12 November 2019 (UTC)
