Notability

This category was previously deleted, but i believe the subject is notable, primarily due to San Bruno Mountain, and the unique plants there. I can also see Category:Ecology of the San Francisco Bay Area being created, either in additionn to this, or, if consensus demands, replacing it. Currently, we dont have a good cat for the bay area ecosystem, and this is most definitely a notable subject.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 17:21, 29 January 2011 (UTC)

you know what would be nice? if the people who deleted this category took the time to check what was in the category, and place them in the Natural history of the sfba as indicated they should be. i took a long time identifying which plants were endemic to regions of the bay area, only to have all that information wiped out. if a plant is found only in napa county, why cant it be described as such? natural history is broad, so is california. I think this idea of having all the plant categories adhere strictly to a scientific system, and to not allow for other considerations, is narrow minded and nit-picky. I want to know which plants are native to this area, and its definable and measurable, and others care too.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 19:58, 26 July 2014 (UTC)
