The municipality covers an area of 9.72 square kilometres (3.75 sq mi), and has a population of 245 (as at 28 August 2006).
Bušanovice's earliest known reference is in 1314, and in 1490 it was first listed as part of the Hluboká estate. It was founded as one of the old free royal settlements in the area.

Carnival procession of masquerades, spring meeting of seniors and celebration of Easter - knitting pomlázek and coloring eggs. Working together with children - ceramic workshop and wicker knitting. May construction. Children's Day - we play and compete with children, parents, grandparents. Farewell to the holidays. Christmas tree lighting. Christmas Eve singing carols by the tree. New Year's Eve fireworks.
