Žimutice lies approximately 26 kilometres (16 mi) north of České Budějovice and 99 km (62 mi) south of Prague.
Administrative parts edit
The villages of Hrušov, Krakovčice, Pořežany, Smilovice, Sobětice, Třitim and Tuchonice are administrative parts of Žimutice. Smilovice and Pořežany, Třitim and Tuchonice form two exclaves of the municipal territory.
