The Bottle Rocket (Bottle Rocket Studios, previously Bottle Rocket Apps) page had been flagged for deletion in the summer of 2015 because it had not been updated for some time (I believe). Long story short, I failed to properly adhere to community guidelines when attempting to update the page and the situation snowballed. It was a misunderstanding on my part that there was no scenario in which it was acceptable for me to edit the page due to my conflict of interest. I will not say that I that I have a problem with how it was handled, but it seemed to get out of hand very quickly. After the situation escalated, my manager took over in an attempt to save the page. I'm not sure what happened from that point or if any further actions were taken, but the page no longer exists. I have reason to believe that Bottle Rocket should be on Wikipedia, not only because it was previously, but because it is a notable company in the app development space. I have already noted on my page that I have a conflict of interest as I am employed by the company in question. Also, I would have reached out to the user(s) who were involved, but it seems all are now semi-retired. Hmm, looking at the deleted contributions, does that look like a valid G5 deletion? There are significant edits by users other than the sockpuppet, although that could be the sockpuppet editing while logged out. @JzG: this looks borderline although I did create WP:SPI/MusicLover650 on the requester just to be sure. ~Anachronist (talk) 01:36, 17 January 2017 (UTC)
  • Article was deleted under WP:CSD#G5 as a creation by a banned or blocked user evading their restriction. The creator was also an undisclosed paid editor, in violation of the Terms of Use. All substantive edits to the article were by the undisclosed paid editor or one of a small number of IPs / accounts with no other history. In other words, blatant promotion, almost certainly paid for by the subject or his representatives, hence their apparent determination to get it back. Marrickville Metro

Article was originally in a AFD debate and the result was delete. However Shirt58 (talk) and I believe this article is more than a run of the mill. Firstly the centre was built on what had previously been the "Vicars Woollen Mill" see http://adb.anu.edu.au/biography/vicars-sir-william-9273 in what I forgot to mention in the article. We believe that "Vicars Woollen Mill" should also be an article as it says about the history in that source. Secondly the centre management building is a "Heritage listed Mill House" in which I did not mention as I can see in an search on the Office of Environment and Heritage (New South Wales) website. Lastly it was the site of one of the first Aldi in Australia as referenced in the article http://www.abc.net.au/7.30/stories/s238058.htm. -BugMenn (talk) 06:34, 12 January 2017 (UTC)

@BugMenn: Well, Shirt58 deleted the article in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Marrickville Metro, so I am not quite understanding where you are in agreement that the article should be restored. I also don't see that you have asked Shirt58, the deleting admin, to consider restoring it, perhaps to draft space for further improvement. That is the correct procedure. I did make comments in the AfD discussion about how may potentially be improved. I admit that it is not to my credit, as an editor, that I did not implement those suggestions.
I did delete the article, based on the arguments put forward in the discussion.
I was asked by BugMenn to participate in this request for undeletion. I did not reply, which could be seen as a failure of my obligations as an WP:ADMIN. Perhaps my close of the discussion would have been sufficient enough to demonstrate why I would not participate in this discussion? Perhaps it was not.
I stand by my AfD close decision. But we've identified problems. Now let's find solutions.

User:TyEvSkyo/Particle Sphere Theory

An article in my user space that was believed to be a hoax article has been deleted. It was not, however it did contain original research. This original research was going to be sourced in the future. It was a Work in Progress Article, and according to User pages, "Besides communication, other legitimate uses of user space include (but are not limited to):... Work in progress or material that you may come back to in future". Thus, this WIP article was not against the rules of Wikipedia.

Also, the page does not qualify for any of the criteria for speedy deletion, including the reason it was deleted (G3 criteria (Pure vandalism and blatant hoaxes)). Finally, the U5 criteria may apply. However, it does not, since the criteria states "with the exception of plausible drafts and pages adhering to Wikipedia:User pages#What may I have in my user pages?" -TyEvSkyo (talk) 01:12, 16 January 2017 (UTC)

I think we know that it's based on some physics, as many pseudoscientific theories are based on some small nugget of truth in their backgrounds. But you posit new particles that, as far as I can tell, have no basis in science. For instance, what's a reference for the existence of a gravisphere? List of Super Famicom and Super NES traditional games

While I agree that "traditional games" isn't really a video game genre, this list is one sub-part of the List of Super Famicom and Super NES games by genre, which contains more information and in my opinion is more useful than the separate List of Super Famicom games and List of Super Nintendo Entertainment System games articles. I'm hopeful that all of those lists can be worked into something better, and if so, the content of this sub-list of the genre list would be useful to include somewhere in the final list. I'm just concerned that there doesn't seem to be any coverage of the show in independent and reliable sources - it exists, but what you need here are news sources talking about the show. Galeries Lafayette Haussmann

Dear administrator, my article was deleted because considered as duplicated content (A:10) but it was dealing with Galeries Lafayette Haussmann which is different from Galeries Lafayette. In fact Galeries Lafayette is a worldwide brand whereas Galeries Lafayette Haussmann is a single shopping place located in Paris, with its own history. It's located in an emblematic building and has to be differenciated from the brand itself. Moreover, Galeries Lafayette and Galeries Lafayette Haussmann are both existing as separate contents in 26 languages, this is why I think it's important to have this page also available in english.   • It looks like the article has some serious issues with promotion, enough to where it would warrant deletion on that front alone.   • This is a   Not done as far as REFUND goes, but I will tag Bgwhite for you. It's just that this is so incredibly promotional that it would need to be completely re-written from scratch. Now as far as the separate pages on other language Wikipedias go, notability is different on each language's Wikipedia and the existence of separate articles on other language Wikipedias doesn't necessarily mean that the chain and the specific building would each merit individual pages. I'm not saying that it absolutely wouldn't merit different pages, just that each Wikipedia is different. I will say, however, that the page should not read like a promotional piece for the shopping place and offhand pages do not need to list each and every type of person the store sells to or all of the various restaurants or others that have storefronts as that comes across as more of a business directory. You can file a ticket through WP:OTRS giving Wikipedia permission to use the content, but be aware that this would place the content under the same creative commons licence that Wikipedia uses. However there's another I must address and that is that this is more of an academic paper than it is an encyclopedia article, as it looks to be filled with WP:OR. I just don't see where it would fit in with Wikipedia. Something else to be cautious about is that while you can submit a ticket through WP:OTRS that would give Wikipedia permission to use the material, doing so would put it under a CC BY-SA 3.0 License. Hi, I'm contributing in different geography articles and describing map resources for education that are useful and have their importance in the internet historical geography world. The article about "Atlas of World history" was not even finished and was deleted. It's not a first row website, but has received funding by US department of education and it's very useful for teachers and education in general. It has as place in wikipedia. Also, "A7" criterion has an exclusion for education institutions. This is a non-profit, government funded website.
