Logos of the digital channels of the NPO

I would like to request these pages be restored so I can license them under a free license or in the public domain and put it into articles, because these logos are simple and consists of text, number and simple geometric shape. Please restore the page as I intend to work on it.

If you do indeed own the rights and can therefore release them, you should not be editing the articles, per WP:COI. Guy (Help!) 17:08, 9 February 2016 (UTC)

  • I am starting to restore these as they fall into the pd-textlogo category. I do not know if Netherlands copyright is applicable, but they look too simple for copyright in the USA. Whether they are useful on Wikipedia is a different question. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 00:53, 10 February 2016 (UTC)

That has happened to me several times, JohnCD, when I restore an article from deletion. I need to remember to uncheck the latest edit that places a CSD tag on the page. Liz Read! Talk! 22:16, 9 February 2016 (UTC)
But User:Liz, it is better to restore all revisions and then edit off the csd request, otherwise the page appears to be unedited for over 6 months and eligible again for g13 deletion immediately. Also history of g13's is then more obvious! Graeme Bartlett (talk) 01:51, 10 February 2016 (UTC)

This image was also deleted by Fastily in June 2011 under F5 and should also be restored as it falls into the PD-textlogo category, because this logo is also simple and it also consists of text, number and simple geometric shape. However, I found six images that was deleted. Also I would count the CAZ, NPS and Ziggo as complex enough for copyright. So either you can say that you want to use these four under fair use, or if you do own the copyright to the logos then there needs to be proof. If you are working for a Netherlands broadcaster, (or an artwork company) you can edit your user page to say who you work for under the WP:COI rules.   • Lynch Johnny, you would have to submit a ticket via WP:OTRS that would verify that you own the copyright and that you're giving up the content as fair use. We cannot accept this based on a post on Wikipedia. However something to take into consideration is that the material is also mildly promotional, which is one of the other reasons why we discourage using material taken from elsewhere, as the text you used was written to promote you as a casting agent. That's fine on your own website, but it's not permitted on Wikipedia. I also had to delete your userpage since it was also very, very promotional in tone and was also taken from another site. Thank you so can I have the page back so I can edit please. Am not sure what content you are talking about which is copy though? Its all my own work? I didn't mean to be promotional, just want a Wiki page. I see nearly every actor and producer as one and just want one myself. I have tried for over a year now. have listed over 30 articles in the media and now I have lost the page completely. Is it deleted, can I edit the page. I had my credits which took 8 years to build on another page (Wordpress) and deleted that and now have lost them now forever if I can't get them back. I can probably find them through thousands of emails but will take me years and never get them all back as some was on the phone. I just want a page on Wiki that says am a producer and actor and was asked to send one more reference and everything would be fine. I sent in around 30 and was then asked to send in just a couple that was relevant. This is exasperating, am not tech savvy, its very complicated and now I have lost the only copy of my working history as its in the deletion. Am very anxious as Wiki is a trusted resource and so wanted to put myself on here and even deleted the content on my blog (Wordpress which I know isn't a reference) to do so. Am on Wiki on some of the films I have been in such as the recent Star Wars - The Force Awakens film, Am just a simple actor/producer that wants to be listed on Wiki like all my colleagues. Tell me what to do please, this is really making me quite poorly as have lost all record of my credits which are on my last submission. I want to edit that, take them off and write something thats less promotional but also lists me just as an actor/producer like everyone else that I work alongside in my industry on here. Thank you. Thank you. Just want a Wiki page using the four references I submitted, I have the 30 or so I sent before but chose those 4 of which 1 was accepted last year. Just want a simple page to reflect my standing as a professional person in the TV and Film Industry. Not fussed about all the credits but see actors and producers on WiKI have theres listed. I have no idea what am doing right or wrong. Have tried for over a year, got so close by being asked to submit one more article but submitted 30, asked to choose just a couple and we are at this stage. I feel confused and at a loss of how to move forward. Any advice would be fantastic as am often sent to Wiki advice pages and to be honest that just confuses me more as find it all too hard to understand. We can't restore the copied material without a release as described in WP:DCM, but most of it was the long list of IMDb references, which are not useful. If you want to persist, I suggest you write a new draft at Draft:Johnny Lynch (producer), taking care to make it neutral and non-promotional, link to your IMDb page rather than to all the pages for all the films you worked on, and give any independent references with substantial coverage.
However, I have to say that I fear you are probably wasting your time here. Wikipedia is not a site like LinkedIn or Facebook for people to make pages about themselves (see WP:Autobiography and WP:Conflict of interest). Also, it is quite selective about subjects for articles. The WP:Notability test looks for references showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject", see also WP:Notability (summary). IMDb is not reliable, because people write their own entries and there seems little editorial control. For people in your line of work, the relevant standard is WP:ENTERTAINER, and I'm afraid local-paper interviews about a part as a storm-trooper won't be enough. In the nature of things, behind-the-scenes workers like casting agents don't get the same coverage as the starts, and are unlikely to be notable. The documentary you are working on won't count for much until it is released and gets independent reviews. JohnCD (talk) 14:56, 12 February 2016 (UTC)

@Darwinius: Sorry I'm just not seeing a valid permission in that OTRS ticket. First of all, it comes from a gmail address that cannot be validated as really belonging to the subject. We need an email from his domain, or at least a temporary page on his website acknowledging the ticket for verification. The deleted page refers to a source website http://dogtrainerdude.com/about-jordan/ that has a different contact email from the one in the OTRS ticket. Secondly, only the photographer can grant permission for re-use, not the subject of the photograph. I am new to Wikipedia and after writing the article learned that my references do not meet your format. This meant learning the correct format and adding them but I have been very busy, went out of the country for a while, and did not get myself back to revise the article in a timely manner. I missed your earlier message that it would be deleted and when I did see such a message it was too late.

I still would like to get this article published. I myself first learned of this from an encyclopedia many years ago (not computerized of course), have since read much about this distant ancestor in books and articles published in Hebrew and English, and would like the opportunity to keep this knowledge alive into present format. I regret I did not move faster and will definitely try to get the references into a proper format as soon as I am able.

  •   Not done This was extremely promotional in tone and while this may not have been your intent, sentences like "Lives of great personalities have always been torch bearers for all successful persons" are seen as unambiguously promotional. While you are correct in that sources do not have to be on the Internet, they also have to be independent of the guru and his followers and be in places that Wikipedia would consider reliable per WP:RS. The reason I specify this is because your above phrasing gives off the impression that coverage might be based on writings by people who follow his teachings, which would make them WP:PRIMARY. If you can show where people unaffiliated with him have written on him, those would count. They don't have to be on the Internet, but they would have to be able to be checked at some point to make sure that they're in-depth. Also, be careful about writing an article when you have a conflict of interest (as I suspect that you do), as it can be easy to write in a promotional manner without ever intending it to be promotional. Finally, please be aware that Wikipedia is not meant to be a place to raise awareness - all content must be neutral and be about topics that would pass notability guidelines (WP:NBIO). This can often be very difficult to establish, given how strict guidelines can be.
None of us can restore the content because it was very promotional, but you can try making a new version. I'd recommend that you go through the articles for creation process rather than creating an article live, given the conflict of interest. Monarch Bank and our company history need to be saved as the company has been sold. We have a great story created by over 1000 people, have given back over $2 million to the community, and once the merger is closed no record will exist of the company. We are/were a nationally recognized company and won numerous awards for "Putting our employees first". As community banks disappear in the US due to regulatory forced mergers the history will be lost. The goal is to have the history and accomplishments be noted. Please reconsider, this is not advertising but our legacy.

@Beschwartz:   Not done. I'm afraid Wikipedia is not for what you want to do, because an encyclopedia only summarises existing published sources. If "no record will exist of the company" an article would not be able to meet Wikipedia's WP:Verifiability policy, summarised as "any material challenged or likely to be challenged must be attributed to a reliable, published source." See also WP:No original research, which includes: "If no reliable third-party sources can be found on a topic, Wikipedia should not have an article about it."
