Defance, Ohio (band)

Meets the criteria in 'Wikipedia:Notability (music) Criteria for musicians and ensembles' numbers match up with numbers in notability guide.

1. Defiance, Ohio has three full length albums and an EP released on No Idea Records, an EP on Plan-It-X Records, and Anti-Creative Records and several other releases on less notable lables. Their only self release was their fist album and demo.

Micropolis (company)

The article was PRODed last month stating it was about a non-notable topic and completely unreferenced. While I don't know if that article contained any valuable information (already), the topic (a former company in the disk drive and operating system business) is clearly notable and needs to be covered by us for historic reasons. Being unreferenced is not normally a valid reason for deletion if notability is given and the article meets at least stub-class. Priam Corporation

The article was PRODed last month stating it was about a non-notable topic and completely unreferenced. While I don't know if that article contained any valuable information, the topic (a former company in the disk drive business and IIRC also of disk related software or operating systems) is notable and needs to be covered by us for historic reasons. Being unreferenced is not normally a valid reason for deletion if notability is given and the article meets at least stub-class. Kalok

Yet another article PRODed last month by the same nominator stating it would be about a non-notable topic and unreferenced. I don't know if that article contained any valuable information (already), but the topic (another former disk drive vendor) is notable enough to have some entry in order to better cover the history of micro-computing. Again, being unreferenced is not a valid reason in itself for deletion unless the article doesn't meet at least stub-class or would be about a non-notable topic. Although the page was nominated for deletion hastily, it was an A7 not a G13 delete. In other words there was no claim of importance and little content. What was there started "Clinton Keith is a former video game developer and a Certified Scrum Trainer and agile coach" by Jouster66. I suggest that you look for sources of information first that can show WP:Notability. If they exist you can start again at Draft:Clinton Keith where you will have more time to gewt the page ready.   •   Not done As for the Jasmine Kaur article, it will not be restored. It was blanked by the author, and prior to that was a promotion of Jasmine Kaur's ideas. It is possible to prove that you are a known person by using email to the WP:OTRS team, and after that the user page of a person can then be associated with a real person, with some sort of proof. However this is not a requirement. People are discouraged from writing an AUTOBIOGRAPHY. I don't think it would be possible to prove you are not another user by email, as it is too easy to make up a new email address. Siddhant Vats

The article is of a notable Indian entrepreneur who started an Android Smartwatch company. There has been a lot of online hate by spammers lately against Mr. Vats and I had been following it closely and I am guessing someone reported false things to an Administrator who deleted it. I was in touch with the admin who deleted it and they said "in-depth coverage of a topic. Mr. Vats seems to have become briefly of media interest in early 2013 for starting a company intending to release a smartwatch, but there is no further coverage of him or his company that I can see. Even his company's website is defunct. I don't think there is a basis for maintaining his article on Wikipedia."

It's interesting to note the biased opinion of the administrator as, yes, Mr. Vats is one of the founders of the company and that's why it was widely covered by all the leading International publications such as CNET, TechCrunch, London Evening Standard, Times of India etc. to name a few, and it followed all guidelines of wikipedia to have notable references. The administrator deleted the page saying "starting a company intending to release a smartwatch", whereas the company was launched and widely covered in all media articles in the references, and the reason there is no website now as the company was closed later and Mr. Vats left it.

So, the administrator lacks knowledge of the company and Mr. Vats and deleted it without proper knowledge. So, I would like to respectfully request you for your kind consideration to restore the page of a notable Indian entrepreneur who has not only contributed so much in the technology sector, but if you are able to access the previous wikipedia page, you will see all the references of his work in the non profit sector towards the society.

I request you to kindly help either restoring the page completely or send me a copy of the wikipedia article and I can add more references if you prefer for republishing.

Score (Carol Lloyd album)

I honestly do not know why this page was deleted. A different album by the same artist (Love Carol) was nominated for deletion per A9 and was deleted, yet this article (that I believe was up to standards and was even nominated as a GAN) was as well without any prior notice or warning. I'm requesting this article for undeletion primarily because being the page's sole contributor, I was completely caught off guard by the action; I don't want to play the experienced card, but I've written my fair share of music-related articles and have never had a page deleted before (especially like this). AlexNet

I am not able to have a look into the deleted article, but if it covers the convolutional neural network from Krizhevsky et al, 2012 (Imagenet classification with deep convolutional neural networks) this may be a very bad decision. The reasoning for deletion was "Can't find any references that do more than simply mention AlexNet in passing". A quick search on google scholar gives over 10000 citations which is a lot for a scientific paper. To put this into perspective, Claude Shannons paper defining the fundamental bandwith limits of analog to digital conversion only has 7228 citations. Furthermore, AlexNet has been implemented for most if not all of the popular machine learning frameworks, including Tensorflow(1), Caffe(2) and Theano(3) —C-M ?! 21:56, 30 March 2017 (UTC)

After having been feature in numerous publications, articles, websites and films over the years, it is tragic that Wikipedia admin "Courcelles" chose to delete the page for being "non-notable". The system was first released in a book format on February 17th 2000 in front of a audience at Symphony Space in New York City.

Three user pages

Hello. A few days ago I requested that my user pages be deleted. Coming to think of it, two (three) of them are actually useful additions to WP that could be finished within a few hours, 2 days max, and posted to readers' benefit. Plus, I wouldn't consider the time that I spent on writing them wasted. Sorry for the inconvenience.

If it's relevant, 'Dutch vowels' and 'Dutch recordings' are meant to massively improve Dutch phonology, which has sourcing problems (and then also Help:IPA for Dutch), whereas 'Differences from other accents' will improve the section on the pronunciation of Cardiff English.

There are also two other articles that were deleted, but there's no point in restoring them. Mr KEBAB (talk) 14:58, 4 April 2017 (UTC)
