Lawrence Vigouroux

Is a notable player in the Liverpool F.C. Reserves and Academy, has a few player profiles[1][2], and is at Swindon Town for the season to gain first team football. [3] -Shreerajtheauthor (talk) 16:50, 4 August 2015 (UTC).

Pages deleted via deletion debate will not be restored here; go to WP:Deletion review or contact the administrator who closed the deletion debate instead. We do not accept sources that have any sort of social, financial, or professional association with a subject for anything but uncontroversial information, and WP:NFOOTY requires that a player play in their first fully-pro football game to be notable absent other factors. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 17:05, 4 August 2015 (UTC)

@FreeRangeFrog:. Any update?

Saga Becker

I'm not the first (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:James086) to note that the page of this notable actress has been removed under speedy deletion A7 (lack of prominence etc). This person is prominent as any brief research amply demonstrates, even on wikipedia itself where now broken links to their page appear on at least three other pages. I will pester the deleter, James086, to let them know about my actions and to find out why this was done as it seems like an inappropriate use of speedy deletion. -EdJ343 (talk) 22:25, 4 August 2015 (UTC)

Not done. The article consisted of a single line: "Saga Becker (born 1988) is a Swedish actress. Becker starred in the critically acclaimed film Something Must Break."
The article indicated only that she starred in a film that isn't even notable enough to have its own article on Wikipedia. A claim of significance is enough to invalidate an A7 deletion nomination, however, in this case the only claim of significance wasn't about the actress, but about the non-notable film she starred in.
@EdJ343:. Feel free to re-create the article with more substance; there's no point in restoring a 1-liner that would quickly be deleted again. ~Amatulić (talk) 23:26, 4 August 2015 (UTC)

The article Saber Mohammed was deleted following an unchallenged PROD. I request userification. I suspect it was started by User:Sherurcij, who was capable of truly excellent work, but could be uneven, and some other unchallenged PRODs from his past I found couldn't be improved. Catchword Branding

The Admin NawlinWiki speedily deleted this page, citing the A7 rule, which says that the organization being written about lacked notability. I contacted the admin on their talk page to try to address the issue, but I was unable to resolve it there. I think that the reason catchword is notable, is that it was one of the first companies in the naming industry and has had a ton of press that features them, some of which is actually only about catchword. Here is a list of all the articles that feature catchword: http://catchwordbranding.com/about/press/ and this one, by the Oakland Tribune exclusively focuses on them: http://catchwordbranding.com/coverage/CatchwordProfileOaklandTribune2004.pdf This very recent radio story is also about them: http://99percentinvisible.org/episode/title-tk/ Also, consider that there are other naming companies that have wiki pages, such as A Hundred Monkeys and Lexicon Branding. -Jrendleman (talk) 21:21, 7 August 2015 (UTC)

@Jrendleman: So, why are you making a request on this page? We don't restore A7 deletions here. Only the deleting administrator can do that. If he won't, your next step is to open a case at Wikipedia:Deletion review to determine if the administrator acted correctly. ~Amatulić (talk) 21:38, 7 August 2015 (UTC)

My article listed historical publications, and the publishers name by Dr Lorna McDonald and the editor requested that these be "supported by reliable sources" I guess I was overwhelmed by this as I would have thought that the name and publisher was sufficient. If I can get the draft back I will seek help to get it published. I was also disappointed in the time it took for the original to be reviewed as well.

Wikipedia is not a place for companies to tell the world about themselves: the present draft reads as though it might be the company website. I haven't checked, but if it is copied from their website, you need to rewrite in your own words to avoid copyright problems, preferably based on what other people say about the company rather than what it says about itself. I was inspired`by jimmy wales speech on wikipedia. do think it would be really useful to have wikipedia catalogue every prime number. would be sum of human knowledge (wikipedia has articles on individual numbers. its really useful nowadays with cryptography and security technology. -Williammacewen (talk) 18:17, 10 August 2015 (UTC)

The article was deleted under criterion A1, indicating an article which didn't have enough context to identify the subject of the article. I can suggest trying to write this as a draft via our article-drafting process, but A1s generally aren't overturned here, on account of there being not enough article to really work with. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 19:08, 10 August 2015 (UTC)
@Williammacewen:   Not done. It is a noble, but impractical, aim to have an article about every prime number; even Wikipedia does not have infinite space, so we have to be selective. See WP:Notability (numbers) for the relevant guideline. JohnCD (talk) 20:20, 10 August 2015 (UTC)

The Page deletetion reason is that it was deleted previously, but I created it with new content and added many reliable secondary sources. Please review and recreate the page -Slowstars (talk) 16:34, 10 August 2015 (UTC)

Note: Benzinga was deleted and salted in 2012 after a discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Benzinga and four previous speedy deletions. --Finngall talk 16:39, 10 August 2015 (UTC)
But check the content and references when I created the page Benzinga (company) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Slowstars (talkcontribs) 16:49, 10 August 2015 (UTC)
@Slowstars: I'm not an admin and therefore can't look at deleted content--I was just noting the history for the benefit of those who can. No judgment of the most recent version was intended. --Finngall talk 17:04, 10 August 2015 (UTC)
@Slowstars: Irrelevant. G4 speedy deletions are not overturned here, as they're tied to a deletion discussion. You will need to take it up with the administrator who closed the deletion discussion (assuming they're still active admins) or take it to WP:Deletion review. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 19:10, 10 August 2015 (UTC)
  • This G4 delete was clearly out of process as the content was different, with different references that may be adequate to show notability. Anyway an appeal to the deleting admin user talk:JamesBWatson is the way to proceed. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 22:35, 10 August 2015 (UTC)

A good encyclopedia shall be able to find as many as articles as possible. "Johnson K. Gao" is a research professor, who meets the academic criteria. The deleter may not read or may have no knowledge about his advanced book published in 1993 by CRC press "Polyethylene Glycol as an Embedment for Microscopy and Histochemistry" in which he used his old name "Kuixiong Gao" as the author. His chapter on solid core liposome in "Colloidal gold: Principles, methods, and applications vol. I, edited by Hayat M. A. published by Academic Press, Inc., New York, 1989; His used name "Kuixiong Gao", which was indicated in "Johnson K. Gao" title, also appears in the book: "Immunogold-Silver Staining: Principles, Methods, and Applications" as one of contributors of that book edited by Hayat M. A. How can the deleter say Johnson K. Gao does not meet academic criteria? May be the contents of his book and articles are too high to the administer to understand, so as to who did not to read them. Why the administer not refer his scientific work to more specialists, similar to peer review, to get feed back before deleting "Johnson K. Gao" article? That deletion seems un-fair and wiki will feel regret for lacking of "Johnson K. Gao" article in the future, especially he is not only a good scientist in Cell Biology and Immunocytochemistry, but also a music composer. His unique character may inspire Wiki users or young readers to develop multi-talent. The discussion action shall wait more people, such that not only 3-4 persons, but 50-100 people who read the encyclopedia. Please temporary un-delete that article.2605:6001:E48A:6B00:A5D3:8B69:1B75:9F5F (talk) 21:12, 10 August 2015 (UTC)

Not done - this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Johnson K. Gao, it cannot be undeleted through this process. However, if you believe that the outcome of the discussion did not reflect the consensus of the participants, or that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion, user Davewild (talk · contribs). After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 00:31, 11 August 2015 (UTC)
Note the tenor of that discussion. I would sum it up as "this article is so incredibly promotional in its sprawling writing, such a panegyric, that we have to start from scratch; the subject might or might not be notable, it's not clear, but this content has to go". Keeping that in mind, your post above does not address the real issue at all.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 00:34, 11 August 2015 (UTC)

The article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Night Runners, it cannot be undeleted through this process. While you have posed your request as one seeking undeletion of a page that was removed under CSD G4, that speedy deletion criterion is for reposts of consensus deleted articles after discussion, so it has no life of its own but just calls to the same articles for deletion debate. Regarding that discussion, if you believe that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion Joe Decker. After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 00:27, 11 August 2015 (UTC)

Anavex_Life_Sciences

Deletion was not made on the basis of consensus. The claim that the article must follow WP:MEDRS was not found to be convincing by some, including myself, having presented articles for companies that do not do so and still exist. Yet that requirement was then considered as not needed for those articles by editors in favor of deletion in what I consider to be a very loopy logic. --Agamemnus (talk) 09:20, 11 August 2015 (UTC)
