Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Rankin Fitch from Runaway Jury.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:Rankin Fitch from Runaway Jury.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.  — Crisco 1492 (talk) 10:58, 5 January 2014 (UTC)

Image question from McDiggler

Hey Chaser,

Just wondering if we can use your image of Nude_Green_Leaves_and_Bust_by_Picasso.jpg in an article about whether fine art should be made available to the public, or is it the investor’s right to keep it stored away.

We've referenced that particular painting in the body of the article and would be using the image as a thumbnail-sized visual reference. Currently I have credited the image to you i.e. Image credit: Chaser but not entirely sure is that's sufficient/correct under the 'Fair usage' terms.

Many thanks!

Greetings Chaser, I hope you are well. I figured that since you and I have worked on a Star Wars page together years ago, you'd be the best person to request help from to improve Technology in Star Wars. Please share your ideas on the talk page and improve the article in any way you can. Thanks. Nadirali نادرالی (talk) 22:08, 11 June 2014 (UTC)

Rory Ellinger

Hello Chaser: are you the misguided one who has removed my questions and edits on this very inaccurate Wiki page? You don't know what you are talking about. I was there. I tell you that, based on the inaccuracies you have allowed, Wiki does not deserve its reputation as a go-to place for learning the facts about Ellinger. Some of the inaccuracies are not important, just annoying, such as Lois being a long-term Committeewoman, completely false. His family was liberal Catholic, completely false, Russ was president of Ellinger Store Equipment, pretty false considering the family enterprise went out of business in the early 1960s and Russ moved from job to job to job to job working for others, until his early death. You do the math, mate: Ellinger was born in 1941. Russ died in 1967, Lois in 1968. Do your numbers, mate. Was he 24? The most alarming inaccuracy and outright falsehood is the shameless claim to have at one time served as bodyguard to Dr King. Bloody humbug! Prove it, provide one shred of evidence or witnessing to verify this most pernicious falsehood. I was first-hand witness to all this civil right righteousness of Ellinger's and I'm asserting that it is a lie, conveniently 'remembered' when he decided to, once again, try for public office. Perhaps because he ran and won unopposed there was no opposition to check out his claims and his mental health and medical histories. I challenged this bodyguard falsehood last year on these pages, before Ellinger died, and neither he nor any of his lackey supporters ever presented any evidence. In allowing this unverified ego-based claim, you diminish the Wiki reputation. Are you really interested in the truth, or not? Ellinger was a small-time bully with a huge ego and went through his life with a messiah complex, saving the world according to his own exalted opinion of himself. He was no hero and he was never a bodyguard for Dr Martin Luther King Jr. Once again, I ask: where, when, under what circumstances, for how long, who can verify this outrageous claim? You can just ignore me and blow me off, once again, and remove my edits from Ellinger's page, but, believe me, you are undermining the Wiki mission for accuracy. The least you can do is remove the disputed bodyguard claim until such time as there is some form of verification. Don't be a hypocrite.Spinspotter41941 (talk) 22:20, 25 October 2014 (UTC)
