Request restoration of project

This looks like an abandoned wasteland. Anyone who visits this page might think it's historic. I request restoring the old project design. We'll obviously make a few tweaks here and there as plenty of the stuff featured is outdated and not maintained, but the project should look alive and colorful again. • I agree with you, the page is in need of a drastic overhaul. Tony the Marine (talk) 04:33, 21 August 2014 (UTC)
  • Everything on that old version is outdated and unnecessary. It also breaks horribly in mobile devices. What exactly would you like to restore back? What do you mean by alive and colorful? The article alerts are updated automatically. The new articles page shows us new articles related to Puerto Rico and the quality log show us articles tagged with our banner that have undergone changes. Furthermore, the {{project header}} template is automatically updated when a project is not active. —Ahnoneemoos (talk) 06:35, 21 August 2014 (UTC)
You know what else breaks on mobile viewing? WP:ANI, WP:VP and almost every single important page on the Wikipedia namespace. I have yet to visit a project that has put mobile editing as a priority over design. I think it is common sense that when you are editing on mobile, some things will look off. Not all sortable tables and image alignments in the article space are optimal for mobile viewing. In fact, I want to put this argument to rest right now since you've stressed that very point for over a year. I would invite any project members to support a consensus saying that the project having a vibrant exciting desktop design that might look misshapen on an iPhone is much better than the blank plainness we have right now that doesn't feel inviting at all to new readers.
