Frank Messina

Hey guys - this Puerto Rican poet was featured on the New York Times on Saturday (http://www.nytimes.com/2007/09/29/nyregion/29poet.html?_r=1&oref=slogin). I'm going to be interviewing him for Wikinews; unfortunately I have no time to do a Wikipedia article about him, but he really has quite a bit of stuff on him on the Internet. Might be worth a stub for the Project. --David Shankbone 02:42, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

Ask him about some hard to find information (early life, family, education, that sort of thing) in your interview and I can produce a B-class article with that and what is found on the internet :) - Caribbean~H.Q. 02:52, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
Will do. --David Shankbone 03:25, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
  • Oops - my bad, he's not Puerto Rican! Doh! I can't for the life of me figure out why I thought he was. —Preceding unsigned comment added by DavidShankBone (talkcontribs) 14:56, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

Puerto Rican Spindalis GAC on hold

Hey. I just reviewed Puerto Rican Spindalis and put it on hold. I just wanted to let this project know. There are some notes on the talk page if anyone wants to look at them. Thanks. Rufous-crowned Sparrow 16:28, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

Piracy-related translation issue

Can you all please look at Edward Low and the translation issue I raise at the bottom of Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Edward Low? It requires someone who speaks Spanish and has a knowledge of the older piracy terms; something is wrong with the translations given even by reliable sources, and it needs a stronger reliable source and sorting out of the correct term that was used "back then". Thanks, Joelito. Saludos, SandyGeorgia (Talk) 18:06, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

User:AlexNewArtBot - New Article Bot

Hi, I have made a new feed for the New Article bot. The bot reads all the new articles for a day and puts suspected PuertoRico-related articles into User:AlexNewArtBot/PuertoRicoSearchResult, the articles are suppose to be manually put into the portal page and/or removed if irrelevant. Or whatever you want to do with them.

The list of rules are in User:AlexNewArtBot/PuertoRico, there is also the log on the User:AlexNewArtBot/PuertoRicoLog explaining the rules that sent an article to the search results (the log is cleared every day, so try to look into the history of the log). Please contact me if you are interested in the fine tuning of the rules

That is all. Any suggestions are welcome.
