Zern's Farmer's Market

An article was recently created on the Zern's Farmer's Market in Montgomery County. I had spotted it while browsing the list of articles tagged for speedy deletion and was a bit surprised an article hadn't already existed. I added in the {{hangon}} tag and made some edits to reduce the advertisement-oriented portion to save it from speedy deletion, but I concur with the administrator's recommendation of expanding it and providing additional sources (see talk); and likewise I would be OK if the article went through AfD. Might anyone with WP Pennsylvania be more familiar with the market's history or perhaps any helpful sources; or do you folks believe that it should go through AfD? I suppose that for keeping discussion organised, we should keep further responses on the article's Talk page. Thanks! --Thisisbossi 17:33, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

Peer Review request

List of Pennsylvania state parks is currently in peer review at Wikipedia:Peer review/List of Pennsylvania state parks This is a complete list of all current 120 state parks in Pennsylvania, and has shorter lists of all known major name changes for these parks, as well as all known former parks. We would especially like input on the references and images. We hope to nominate this as a Featured List. Thanks in advance for all input, Dincher and Ruhrfisch 20:12, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

Washington's crossing of the Delaware

Folks, there's currently a proposal to merge Washington's crossing of the Delaware with Battle of Trenton at Talk:Washington's crossing of the Delaware#Merge with Battle of Trenton. I personally oppose merger, but the PA community should comment. Wl219 21:15, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

Project tags

I'm curious about when a daughter project claims an article, should it remove the parent project's tag on the talk page? For categories this seems to be true, but I don't know if I've seen a similar "rule" for projects. The Lehigh Valley project has been claiming pages w/o removing the Pennsylvania project tags. For example Talk:Little Lehigh Creek.--J Clear 02:58, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

  • I don't think that they should be doing this. For example, note how Wikipedia:WikiProject Biography creates "departments", and the Bio tag stays on every person's page, even if that person is in several other projects. --M@rēino 14:56, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

Molly Maguires

Can anyone with knowledge of this article please take a look at it, and the comments I've left on the talk page. At the moment it's got major problems, and lacking source material I don't have much chance of sorting it out that easily. Thanks. One Night In Hackney303 16:03, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

Categorization needed

If there's anybody out there, Category:People from Pennsylvania needs subcategorized into PA people by city, county, and occupation. See Category:People from Massachusetts for an example. Thanks! —Kevin Myers 03:49, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

  • Unfortunately there is not much activity here. I will add it to my list of things to do, thanks. Ruhrfisch 21:36, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

Earl Strom

Hi. I'm working cleaning up a biography as it relates to Pottstown's own Earl Strom who was a professional basketball referee for 32 years in the NBA and ABA and a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame. If anybody has an other sources of information not listed as references or any feedback with what's there already, please feel free to contribute. Hopefully this biography will eventually reach WP:GA status Thanks! RyguyMN 18:18, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Ashland and the Pioneer Tunnel

There is already an article out there for Ashland,_Pennsylvania but it doesn't have much in it. It mentions the Pioneer Tunnel but there's no separate article for that. I have some new pictures I could share, including a better picture of the town from up on the mountain, but don't know if I should replace the one that's already there.

  • There is mention of some notable people in the Ashland article, however, one that's not been included - a man by the name of Carl Bernosky, who I belive is an Ashland native. He's won the NRA High Power Rifle Championship at Camp Perry nine times and that's quite an achievement. http://www.nra.org/Article.aspx?id=9346 (this article mentions eight, but that was in 2007, he won it again this year http://www.nrahq.org/compete/natpdf/cp400-08.pdf) Should be some kind of research and mention of him there somewhere. Ratings

I am not a member of this wikiproject but curiosity got the best of me when I noticed that my school had been given Top importance with the reasoning other Universities in PA were rated Top. I took down one of these ratings, and will most likely take down more. A suggestion for this wikiproject is that you go through your assessed articles to make sure they fit their given assessment. List of lakes in Pennsylvania

I've been slowly going through the List of lakes in the United States since I pulled it into its own article and I've just extracted the Pennsylvania lakes into List of lakes in Pennsylvania and tagged it with the Lake and Pennsylvania wikiproject tags. My knowledge of Pennsylvanian geography however is nil, so I'll leave it up to someone more qualified to populate it. If you can identify the most notable lakes in Pennsylvania, deepest, longest, largest etc, then I'd like to include them back in the main US list so that it becomes a summary of the most notable lakes in the US and in each state; with links to all the State lake pages.
