@Nick-D and Ian Rose: I currently assist Dank in preparing draft TFA blurbs for MilHist FACs as they are promoted. (My working page is here.) I have recently volunteered to assist Eddie891 prepare shorter summaries for the Last Month's Featured Content page of The Signpost. My first drafts are here. There seems to be some scope for "rationalisation".

Would it be helpful if I were to post the shorter summaries here as MilHist FACs are promoted, for you to amend, tweak , rewrite or ignore; with a selection of images? Hopefully this would cut your work down to not a lot more than the creative bit of writing the summary.

Gog, I don't know where you find the time to write, review and TFA blurb so many articles -- all to a high standard -- so if we can tap into that here, why not? Just so you know, though, the FA blurb part isn't quite as onerous as it might look because I too rationalise -- since most MilHist FAs went through ACR, I often grab the old A-Class blurb written for a previous issue and tweak that to my own ends; because writing the A-Class blurbs is part of Nick's role at the Bugle, he can really take a lot of the credit for the FA blurbs too... ;-) So I guess you could even take those A-Class blurbs, tweak them for the Signpost and then we re-tweak them for the Bugle -- now that'd be rationalisation...! Hi Ian, you are a fine one to talk. I have had a go. Feel entirely free to tweak, amend, replace or delete without reference to me. Gog the Mild (talk) 10:22, 12 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
Tks for your help Gog, busy day yesterday so it came at just the right time... ;-) Cheers, Ian Rose (talk) 22:32, 13 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
