Schools and Education edit
Several boroughs have Education but only one (Croydon) had Schools. I have merged Schools into Education for Croydon. MRSC • Talk 12:37, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
Images of edit
These belong on commons, any still on here need to be transferred. We shouldn't be categorising them here. Secretlondon 15:46, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
- Does that count for Category:Images of London too? MRSC • Talk 16:03, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
- Yes - all free images belong on commons. We shouldn't spend any time categorising them on en - they need to be transfered and categorised on commons. Secretlondon 16:04, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
- Category:London Boroughs should be where they go. (As well as any other suitable ones) Secretlondon 16:09, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Squares in edit
I know there are lots of squares in Camden, and Westminster - but this isn't common in the rest of the city. I don't think we actually have any notable squares in Southwark, for example. Are they that different from streets or open spaces? Secretlondon 13:10, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
Listed buildings edit
Couldn't see Category:Grade II listed buildings in London
Oddly Category:Grade_I_listed_buildings_in_England_by_county doesn't have a subcategory for London. Anyone know why?
Not a member of this WProject, just wrote a page for the closed Uxbridge Lido (re-opening in 2010 or 2011) and wondered which categories it should be in.--Lidos (talk) 16:36, 23 October 2009 (UTC)
- I've added Category:Grade I listed buildings in London to Category:Grade I listed buildings in England by county. I'm not sure what you are asking about the Grade II category? MRSC (talk)
- I was just expecting to see the above in Wikipedia:WikiProject_London/Categories--Lidos (talk) 08:10, 29 October 2009 (UTC)
- Oh right, the title Wikipedia:WikiProject_London/Categories rather implies that everything is listed. I now see Full category tree - all is revealed.--Lidos (talk) 09:36, 29 October 2009 (UTC)
Year of establishment edit
All of the London boroughs were established in 1965. Currently the London Borough of Havering is in the Category:1965 establishments under 'H' and the London Boroughs of Croydon, Barking and Dagenham, Barnet and Haringey are in the same category under 'L'. Clearly, all the London boroughs should be in this category, and either all of them (except the City of Westminster and the two royal boroughs) under 'L' or sorted by the name without 'London Borough of'. I think that the best solution would be to create a new category, London boroughs established in 1965, as a subcategory of 1965 establishments and London boroughs and to place all the London borough articles within the new category sorted by the name without 'London Borough of'. Councillors and Members of Councils edit
There are category sequences 'Councillors in (borough)' and also 'Members of (X) Borough Council'. While there are several types of council (Municipal and Metropolitan pre-1965 and London thereafter) there should be a unified category nomenclature.
Would 'Category:Member of Metropolitan/Municipal/London (delete as appropriate) Borough Council' be the most appropriate naming system? Jackiespeel (talk) 10:13, 28 February 2017 (UTC)
