usbk coding edit

I changed most of the userboxes to the {{usbk}} format. However, some of the templates seem to be squares and won't fit into the nice, neat circles of the usbk. If anyone cares enough to figure it out, please do. --Dziban303 02:24, 7 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

sorting edit

Needs to have some sort of catagories, like: North American locations, European locations, ect. Also, there is no US template and no state templates for the US--Akako| 17:21, 21 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

I concure. I want a US template. I'd make one, but I don't know how to make templates. --Masssiveego 09:09, 22 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Yeah this whole page is a disaster. It needs to be split into regions etc. I'll split it now. I would make a US template... but I don't like America!!! File:Anglo-indian.jpg Deano 11:13, 22 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

I have made a template (I think) which is kind of unusual. However, I don't know how to format the table to stick it in. Ifnord 04:09, 23 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Can you link me to the template please, and I will add it in the most suitable place. Ian13ID:540053 10:48, 23 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
Sure. Please see Expatriate Canadians. Ifnord 15:12, 23 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
Added at the bottom of the Americas page :) Ian13ID:540053 16:03, 23 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
Super! Thanks. BTW, I noticed on that page a userbox for the Christmas Islands. Are they not near Australia in the south Pacific? Ifnord 17:23, 23 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

code example edit

After not finding California in the sub-pages, and realizing that most of the users who want to add their location aren't going to know how to make a new template, I added some example {{User 1|...}} code. There is a trade-off involved, in that templates with their own category allow the geographically near to find each other. Sadly, there's no way to make a generic template, e.g., {{User location|place=California}} because that can't automatically find a good image.

There needs to be a good location template creation tutorial linked from this page. --James S. 17:26, 25 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Earth userboxes not in accordance with policy edit

As much as I appreciate the humor, "user Earth" and "user Earthling" do not conform with Wikipedia policy, namely categorizing all Wikipedians until such a time when aliens are discovered. I believe they should be deleted. Xiner 03:54, 5 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
