Nominating Article for Good Article

edit

Professor how do we go about nominating the article for good article? I do not understand this portion of the assignment and I could not find information on it in the table. Katemolly (talk) 16:46, 6 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi Professor, The good article nomination keeps giving me error message (The {{GAN}} template should be substituted at the top of the article talk page). I copied and pasted the template several times, still cannot make it work. Shampa R (talk) 03:10, 7 July 2012 (UTC)ShampaReply

Hi Professor, it's Shampa again. I kept trying to understand why the nomination wouldn't go through and finally decided (from examining the error message in red) that the outer double braces might be the cause of the problem. So I made the entry without the braces and this time I did not get the error message. I don't know if I did the right thing, but it was pretty much the only thing I could think of. Anyway, I thought I would leave you this update. Shampa R (talk) 04:39, 7 July 2012 (UTC)ShampaReply

Trouble with Assignment Submission

edit

Hi Andrew:

I have created an article titled "Mazie Hirono and her work with NOW",but my article and the class assignment were deleted twice by Wikipedia. I made the 2nd attempt thinking something I did in error, but got deleted the 2nd time. Please advise how to proceed as my assignment for this article is due on 6/22.

Thanks.

(talk page stalker) Carey, do you realise that you have your own user talk page, where messages for you arrive? You get there by clicking "My talk" at the top of the screen. A yellow bar on your screen saying "You have new messages" indicates that there is something new there. I explained there yesterday the problem with your contribution, and what you should do, and I have added a longer explanation today. JohnCD (talk) 19:46, 21 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
Carey, just to clarify: Your assignment is to add content to an existing article, rather than creating a new article with that content. I've explained more in the email conversation we have going. AndrewN talk 23:55, 21 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
