Why did I create this page edit

I've been volunteering at the Teahouse and Help Desk for years, and it strikes me that 95% of this questions we're asked are fairly routine, and newcomers just don't know where to go. Thousands and thousands of hours have been spent creating helpful content about using Wikipedia, but not as much with an overall roadmap of everything. I thought a decision tree format would work best to fill in the information gaps. I can see this metamorphosing into a flow chart with arrows and boxes, and maybe even a wizard that you can click through. Some of this can also be expanded, such as directing people seeking encyclopedia information to lists, categories and WikiProjects.
