@Universe is Quantun Build: Wikipedia is not the place for crackpot theology or proselytising. Jéské, you can decline drafts and tag pages for deletion without insulting editors without implying they are "crackpot". I agree this draft will be deleted soon but civility is called for in all situations with well-intentioned by misguided editors. Liz Read! Talk! 07:41, 1 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for the fast check of the draft of Bezau Business Schools. However, I am a bit confused that it was declined, as it is simply a translation (just a bit shortened history section) of the wiki-page in German - see here: [Bezauer Wirtschaftsschulen] which is checked and worked on by several users (check version history). The references are given in the literature section and with the weblink. It is just a school, so this is not about advertisement etc. and the information are for all out there to see and it seems not to make sense to cite the given sources (given in the literature section) in the text - but if that is, what is critizised - I can do that, even though it seems to make no sense to me in this case? The remark, that there should be independent / secondary sources seems to make - in part - no sense, as we often use (also in sciences) data from a source, without having other sources. Especially in this case - with a public school - when the resources are from the public school, it seems to make no sense!? So it would be more realiable to use secondary sources, which copy or use information from the primary source? Looking forward for a reply. Best! @Byteutates: this is a common problem when translating articles from other wikis; enwiki has higher notability and verifiability standards than the others (that I'm aware of, at least), and therefore the existing sources are often insufficient. And given that this draft doesn't cite a single source, it was indeed declined correctly.
On a separate point, if, as you say, you've translated this from a dewiki article, you need to attribute that as the original source, see WP:HOWTRANS. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:04, 1 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi DoubleGrazing, ok, added 2 secondary references (in my view it is usually more desirable to have primary sources (which were already given) than secondary sources - but ok). Hope it is fine now. Best Byteutates (talk) 10:20, 1 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I make that just one secondary source; the Bezau.at and the school's own website are both primary. (I'm not sure whether the third one is entirely secondary, either, but I'm giving it the benefit of doubt.)
Secondary sources are absolutely needed to establish notability per WP:GNG; this isn't a question of opinion or desirability. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:29, 1 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I am not sure why my submission keeps getting declined. Are there specific lines that can be highlighted which are making it seem like an advertisement? Or is it to do with the sources, if so can the particular ones be named? I have worked very hard many times to fix this and cannot seem to get approval on it.

@Dilshadhassan: it has been declined because the draft is poorly referenced and highly promotional, with no sign of notability. (And for those reasons, I have just tagged it for speedy deletion.)
