What is the difference between mine and this one?

Wylie39 (talk) 02:35, 5 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Wylie39, Well one is a library, founded more than a hundred years ago. The other is a company, with what appears to be little history. Wikipedia only writes about things that have significant coverage from multiple reliable and independent sources, or that fall into special categories. For companies, the bar is fairly strict. We don't just accept articles about run of the mill companies, as the one you are writing about seems to be. Also note that the library article is...extremely barebones and not a good example of how to write an article. I recommend you work on some existing articles to get a feel for how Wikipedia works. Creating an article from scratch is very hard. Before trying to write other articles from scratch, make sure to ask at the freindly teahouse to check if what you want to write about is notable. You are also welcome to ask any sort of question there. Captain Eek Edits Ho Cap'n! 06:13, 5 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Vinayannediyiruppu. The draft's three references are dead links to pages on the https://pankajtrust.com/ website. Thampil Pankaj is the founder of the trust, so their website is not an independent source about him. Novice editors are commonly advised to cite at least three independent, reliable sources containing significant coverage of their topic. The draft cites none. --Worldbruce (talk) 13:19, 5 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hm... maybe I am missing something, but WP:NGEO looks for me like this city could pass the notiability criteria for Geographic objects... Victor Schmidt (talk) 16:03, 5 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Victor Schmidt, I agree that it is notable per WP:NGEO. But the article definitely needs cleanup. It is not written in an encyclopedic manner. I think the author likely has a poor grasp of English however, which could limit their ability to work on it further. Captain Eek Edits Ho Cap'n! 19:39, 5 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

i need to approve this biography because this person is real.

Eviathema (talk) 11:15, 5 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Eviathema. The person may be real, but they are not notable (not suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia). You may wish to consider an alternative outlet for your writing. Or choose a different topic. Wikipedia has nearly 6 million existing ones to choose from, nearly all of which need improvement. More than 150,000 are available at https://el.wikipedia.org, if you're more comfortable contributing in Greek. --Worldbruce (talk) 13:08, 5 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Astalosiuas, I'm afraid that 2022 in film is just too far in the future, as our policy on not predicting the future says. You could try again sometime in 2021. Captain Eek Edits Ho Cap'n! 19:45, 5 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have made critical reception in the South more clear and have added a CNN source for the Robert E. Lee claim. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Billywhite86 (talkcontribs) 17:52, 5 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

it is very helpful for knowledge and information Manojtaliyan2002 (talk) 19:07, 5 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Manojtaliyan2002, Well...thats not a real sentence so not sure what your inquiry is. But I've taken a look at the draft, and you need to fix a few things. You need to read referencing for beginners and include references and citations in your article. You also need to try to improve the style of writing. If you cannot do that, ask here for help. Request on 20:10:54, 5 January 2020 for assistance on AfC submission by Grog-unicolon

They ask for substantial unrelated sources that show why this subject deserves a wiki, and I included links to articles by the New York Times, NPR, the AJC, and many other sources. I'm not sure what else is required to see that this subject has been covered, as I see all kinds of articles with way less documentation than even this. What can I do to meet that requirement?

Grog-unicolon (talk) 20:10, 5 January 2020 (UTC)([reply]

Please see my response to your request above. (Requirement met!) JSFarman (talk) 00:36, 8 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
