00:35:19, 3 September 2019 review of draft by 2600:8802:6604:3FC4:9DAF:CCFE:C91F:F030

I am currently attempting to create a page for the protagonist of what is currently one of the biggest and most popular manga/anime series to date. However, as a non-experienced editor who doesn’t even have an account, I don’t know what exactly would count as notable. Additionally, while I do know many things about the series, I would not be able to add all the information that would fit in, as I do not know everything about Midoriya’s conception. Lastly, while I do enjoy editing on Wikipedia, I have many real-life problems that should be solved before I should focus on this article. Whoever does help with editing this draft, thank you in advance. 2600:8802:6604:3FC4:9DAF:CCFE:C91F:F030 (talk) 00:35, 3 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Swakutty has a history of creating poorly sourced or unsourced articles in mainspace. These are then moved to draft space by other editors and Swakutty subsequently submits these articles for review without making any attempts to improve them. This is one such case. He submitted the review, only for another editor to warn him that he had been warned numerous times (mainly by me) about wasting the time of reviewers by persistently submitting and re-submitting unimproved drafts for review. He ignored that and resubmitted the article anyway, only a minute later. That article has now been reviewed and rejected, as was expected. --AussieLegend () 10:50, 3 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Swakutty: This is one of multiple duplicate help requests - please only make 1 request and don't make another one unless there's been no response in 48 hours. Nosebagbear (talk) 13:46, 3 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Nosebagbear: - I'm sorry to say that this is rather typical. Now that he has discovered this page I expect to see many more posts by Swakutty. He seems to believe that if he keeps submitting articles for review, even if he's done nothing to improve them, that somebody will eventually slip up and accidentally move one. Nothing I've said on his talk page has had any effect. I suspect this will end up at WP:ANI. --AussieLegend () 14:09, 3 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@AussieLegend: - you may well be right. A more aggressive use of MfD may also be suitable. Nosebagbear (talk) 14:20, 3 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Swakutty (talk) 12:13, 3 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Swakutty: - the first two of your sources only link to the general site, they need the full URL in order to go to the article webpages. The third source is only a synopsis of the show. You really want to find 2 good quality reviews on reliable secondary sources. That's the quickest way to show TV show notability. Nosebagbear (talk) 13:44, 3 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sanat Sawant is a Famous YouTuber hence there are many Fake profiles of him being created. SanatSawant (talk) 12:48, 3 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@SanatSawant: - I'm not sure what the result of this is? What does it matter that there are fake profiles created? Nosebagbear (talk) 13:38, 3 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there,

I hope you are well.

I have been trying to get this article over the line for the past year and have not succeeded yet. The page is for a British DJ called Ben Nicky. There are other DJs pages who have less information than I have submitted with live Wiki pages.

The last rejection stated "I could not find any significant coverage solely about the musician; all the coverage relates to the subject's work and related events."

The subjects work and related events is relevant to him as he is a worldwide known DJ.

Can you please advise what I can do to get this over the line? All sources I have linked to are from relevant websites to the field of work of a DJ.

Many thanks,

Cat Catture (talk) 17:20, 3 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Catture: - there are indeed routes to notability for musicians based off their work, as well as direct coverage. They are however somewhat limited. The full set can be seen at Musician notability criteria. I might need to talk to someone about the differences between criteria 11 & 12 - depending on how criterion 12 is interpreted he might meet that (which would make it the first time I've ever used it). If you can find a better source that specifically talks about him touring as a single co-ordinated thing (rather than a couple of singular named events, and a throwaway line on airmiles) then he would also pass criterion 4 - requires a single good source on the tour. This account got rejected due to promoting a business, this Wikipedia is for information regarding Colleen Fletcher and her personal life and background. What would I need to remove to get this approved? Thank you renee reynolds 18:20, 3 September 2019 (UTC)

Hi Rreynoldsat. Rejection is intended to be final, to convey that not only is the draft in its reviewed state unacceptable, but that no amount of editing will make it acceptable - that the topic is hopeless. See Wikipedia:A primer for newcomers#Picking a topic, particularly the "Pick something notable" subsection. --Worldbruce (talk) 18:46, 3 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Hope this finds you well!

I'm working on the Liz Lambert page and most of the citations are flagged in red with "Cite news requires |newspaper= " I looked to see what this means on the help link, but it was not much help in understanding how to fix the problem. Any advice on how to resolve this would be excellent.

Thanks!

Schughes2 (talk) 19:11, 3 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Schughes2: - i believe it wants you to replace the "publisher=" in each reference with "newspaper=". This set of changes is currently being significantly disputed on the template and other spaces. I'd advise giving it a couple of days to see how things settle Nosebagbear (talk) 20:43, 3 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
