I confirmed my account a couple of weeks ago but the system will not allow me to Upload images. It states that I am not a confirmed user. I received the confirmation page when I created the account and confirmed it. I can edit and create articles, etc. Can you help me get confirmed? Thank you.

Lee Gravityseeker (talk) 00:51, 4 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Lee. I believe that your account became autoconfirmed exactly seven minutes before you posted the above. Please give it another try, and let us know if it still won't let you upload images. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 07:14, 4 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Given the severe review backlog in AfC, I am planning to move my article at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Doc2234/Allison_Argo directly to article space. My article is in good shape, and I am an experienced editor. I do, however, appreciate the AfC process; and I typically prefer to use it. I currently have the article submitted at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Allison_Argo and that draft submission should be deleted. I am not sure how the draft article should be deleted. Could you possibly help? Thank you in advance. Doc2234 (talk) 01:54, 4 September 2014 (UTC) Doc2234 (talk) 01:54, 4 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You could put {{Db-g7}} at the top of that draft, that should do it. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 07:18, 4 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Actually {{db-user}} is the correct tag, G7 requires a judgement by the deleting admin about whether the topic is encyclopedic or not. But db-user is a simple routine "I don't need this page anymore" request by the author. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 08:06, 4 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
From the policy page they seem to be the same thing, Wikipedia:G7 is the shortcut to it. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 12:23, 4 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Oops! I was thinking of A7, my bad! Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 12:34, 4 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I would just like some more specific information on the copyvio. I would like to fix the issue and resubmit. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! TFM LI 16:10, 4 September 2014 (UTC)

To editor Ecsayer: Much of the "Partner Products" section is copied from a press release. You might think that simply removing it would fix it, but the content is still in the page history, and that is still not allowed. If the text were copied recently, we could simply delete the versions that have a copyright violation, while leaving the article intact. However, this text was added very early on, so almost all the versions have it. So, the best option is to simply delete the entire article and start over. Hi. My page was declined because of an unspecified copyright violation. The page is an entry for professor Sydney Finkelstein of Tuck School of Business. The listing includes bio information and links to his personal website and social media pages. Please advise if it is possible to revise the submission. Thanks.

Imainfp (talk) 16:07, 4 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

To editor Imainfp: The logs indicate that it was copied from here. (Only an administrator can verify if this is correct, but I will assume it is.) Even if you wrote that biography, it is not acceptable currently because 1) we cannot verify that you did, and 2) it needs to be made available under a free license. There are ways to do that, but generally, you shouldn't bother because official biographies tend to be promotional.
My recommendation is to read the "golden rule" and rewrite the article from independent sources. Anon126 (notify me of responses! / talk / contribs) 19:30, 4 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please let me know how to do the following: 1. Review photos I have uploaded to a draft page. 2. How to delete a photo and reload it. 3. How to best add a photo to my new article. 4. How to best find my draft or other articles.

Thank you! Swmusic (talk) 18:47, 4 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I will answer question 4. You can see all your edits made on this project (English Wikipedia) by clicking "Contributions" at the very top of the page. The only exceptions are edits that have been deleted, or edits when you were not logged into the Swmusic account.
I will try question 3 as well. The best way to add a photo is to take the photo yourself with your own camera (therefore you will own the copyright to it), and then upload it to The Wikimedia Commons project, providing that you are willing to release the photo under a free license. The advantage of uploading it to Wikimedia Commons is that it could then be used in all different language Wikipedias as well as just the English Wikipedia.
Someone else, please, could address questions 1 and 2. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 06:53, 5 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
