Review of Draft:Peter Gallway: I think this is good enough to stand on its own

edit

Hi, I welcomed newbie User:SagersPath, who has been working on an article about Peter Gallway. They took extreme care before waiting to submit, apparently having got the impression that you needed to make it "perfect" before publishing to Wikipedia (I guess that makes sense, in a way; that's what people do with books...)

I told SagersPath to just click "submit" in the sandbox, and it's gone to Articles for Creation. Now I'm wondering if that was such a good idea, since the AfC is backlogged at 3000 submissions and this has more detail than the first revision of The Beatles.

It has a grammy nomination which should indicate minimum notability under WP:BAND, so I think it would probably survive; would it be okay if we moved Draft:Peter Gallway to Peter Gallway and ditch the AfC? I don't know much about this musician but know enough to tag it for issues (promo, RS, excessive detail, etc.) and categorize and format it a bit.

...or would we get "in trouble"? Meteor_sandwich_yum (talk) 12:07, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Meteor sandwich. Any auto-confirmed user can move drafts into article space without waiting for a review. However, there's a pretty good chance of this one being nominated for AfD. In my view, its survival is not guaranteed, at least in its current state. Grammy nominations for "Best Recording Package" generally go to the art producer only, and in this case, it wasn't Gallway, although he did produce the album. So it's on shaky ground there. However, he probably would scrape a pass via his three recordings for Reprise Records (provided he was an actual performer, not simply an engineer). This is Criteria 5 of WP:MUSICBIO. I strongly suggest adding reviews as references. The current inline references are quite poor, frankly. They're either blogs, websites associated with the subject, or ones associated with his colleagues. It needs ones like those you can find here and here. If you're prepared to work on it once it's in article space, especially the referencing, and are willing to take the chance of a possible AfD, it's up to you and SagersPath. There's nothing to stop you. Best, Voceditenore (talk) 15:23, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Meteor sandwich - neither of the Discography sections cite any sources. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 15:55, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you both. Meteor_sandwich_yum (talk) 23:40, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

What I mentioned in my article was based on fact I had given the refrences of newspapers ang magazines and my publication in suport of my article but still it was declined. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.245.65.244 (talk) 13:28, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

117.245.65.244, can you please provide a link to your draft or at least tell it's name/title? Otherwise we can't help you. Voceditenore (talk) 14:13, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
