Please do not place article content here; I have removed it.

I would like some help having my article on Ben Wilson published Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Ben Wilson (kitesurfer). I'm not sure where to go from here and how to get it approved. I would like someone to edit or tell me what it needs to be listed. Sasha SashaDHutchinson (talk) 06:16, 31 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have replaced the {{AFC submission}} code at the top of the page. Please do not remove it because it contains information about why your article was rejected and how to resubmit it. If you have not already, read the reasons for the article being declined and reply if you have any more questions. I will make some changes shortly. --Anon126 (talk - contribs) 07:09, 31 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I fixed the wikilinks in your post. The draft was declined because it does not pass the notability standard for a sportsperson. -- Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 07:14, 31 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Simon Pont

Hi!

I'm Mia and have been trying to post an article on a favoruite author of mine. My first post was rejected for over-emphasising the books. I've edited it, made the copy much shorter. I think it's good now, but would appreciate input. The references are numerous, thrid party, and strong, but I'm not 100% sure I have cited them correctly. Please advise on how and if my submitted post on Simon Pont is now suitable for Wikipedia.

Many thanks.

I've just rejected this submission. Wordpress blogs do not count as "strong" references; the Spotify site for the book is not an independent reference; and nor is a review of one of Pont's books by someone who authored a chapter in the book. The short article in The Drum seems to be an independent reliable source though. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 11:41, 31 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I had submitted a page titled, Tom Yankello. It was denied at this point in time. I was wondering if you would be able to help me understand why it was denied so that I am able to make the necessary changes. I appreciate your time in this matter. Sincerely, Tina TomYankello (talk) 11:41, 31 January 2014 (UTC)TomYankello[reply]

Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Tom Yankello's World Class Boxing Gym was rejected for the reasons given in the pink box at the top of that page. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 11:43, 31 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, my original submission was rejected for not enough independent references (in fact all but one are independent). I've added a further two independent citations and believe notability has been established. I've left a message for the original reviewer. How do I submit the article again, please? I can't see any instructions. Andy Griffiths (Rugbyboy2 (talk) 12:05, 31 January 2014 (UTC))[reply]

There is a big blue button labeled "Resubmit" in the pink review box at the top of the page. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 12:14, 31 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there!

I have made some changes on the article in order to meet Wikipedia's minimum standard for inline citations six days ago. Could you confirm me if the references' standard are now correct? Thanks! Camila Braga 13:13, 31 January 2014 (UTC)

What article? Please provide a link to the draft you want help with. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 18:56, 31 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,

cannot gather wether or not my article has been submitted for review. Please help.

Thank you, bkenvironment

Bkenvironment (talk) 21:19, 31 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it is submitted, but it was not showing because of problems with the <ref> tags. Each of those must be closed by a </ref> at the end of the citation. Also, if you are citing the same source multiple times, use named references: Use <ref name="[name]">[citation]</ref> for the first citation and <ref name="[name]"/> for the rest. (The name should be short, such as the author's surname or a word in the title.)
I have fixed all of these for you, but keep this in mind as you are developing this and possibly other articles. --Anon126 (talk - contribs) 07:39, 1 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

I have been trying to get an article up about Sport Terrorism for over a year. The rumors for the super bowl this weekend and the sochi games have this being one of the top news stories. I am going to submit another attempt at this, hopefully someone can take a look at this and get it up in case there is a disaster and the content of my article is up to your standards.

There are not many people who study this, and even those with interest have a difficult time because of the fact that this relates to national security and clearance is not easy. I am Dr. Orr, the author and I do not have many colleagues in the field so to say. That is why there has not been any entries on this, even though it should be a hot topic.

I will add a couple references and some more details as the last reviewer left many helpful suggestions and submit it very soon.

Thank you for your review and best wishes, Tom — Preceding unsigned comment added by Drviolence (talkcontribs) 22:03, 31 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Time magazine published an article "Top 10 Worst Sport Terrorism Attacks" a few years ago that may provide useful leads to expand the article away from it's current predominantly US-centric content. This article by CNN covers the effect of terrorism on cricket in the Indian sub-continent in some detail. This master's thesis examines the issue from an event hosting and hospitality industry POV. Hope these links are useful. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 12:30, 1 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
