How will people be able to read my article? How should they search this? Saurav Patra (talk) 07:02, 15 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Saurav Patra. That page is not yet ready to become a Wikipedia article. Please read Wikipedia:Your first article and Wikipedia:VRS to see what is required. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 08:01, 15 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I had just created a draft of "Tanjong Rhu MRT Station". When I created the article, none of the same article was available on Wikipedia. By the time I complete the article, there is another article on the same subject already on Wikipedia. Do we have to delete the draft article? If yes, how?

Thelegoers (talk) 09:32, 15 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Thelegoers. Thank you for letting us know about this. I have declined the draft submission, and it will be automatically deleted if it is not edited for six months. So, there is nothing further you need to do. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 09:37, 15 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have spent many days entering my article with one finger and one eye! When I submit it for approval, how long does it take to get a reply and if it is rejected, does the draft remain for me to improve and re submit? I could not face entering it all again!

Thank you,

Keith

If a submitted article ia rejected, does the draft remain to be improved and re submitted?

Thank you,

Keithhmorris (talk) 10:35, 15 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Keith. Yes, it does, except in particularly problematic cases like copyright violation. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 11:02, 15 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Mikeandgunilla (talk) 10:44, 15 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

We knew the subject personally. There are published acknowledgements of his work. I have a newspaper interview with him and a recent book which has been dedicated to his memory "Star Carr, Life in Britain after the Ice Age" published by the Council for British Archaeology. Truly an "unsung hero" of archaeology!

@Mikeandgunilla: Please read our instructions on using references and add citations to your draft. The fact the Moore first found Star Carr is already covered. To make a case for general notability you'll have to provide several reliable sources and not simply repetitions about finding Star Carr. Chris Troutman (talk) 23:19, 15 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. I created a page for this asset manager called Fifth Street Management on July 22nd. After submitting, it said that the page would take a maximum of three weeks to get approved. That three-week period expired as of this past Tuesday. Wondering when my page will post.

Thanks Pete

You depend on a volunteer choosing to review the submission and feeling that they have the requisite skill to review this particular one. Like on Wikipedia works to a different timeframe from reality. Fiddle Faddle 10:34, 18 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I chose. I have that skill. I   Declined it for the reasons stated on the draft. Fiddle Faddle 10:41, 18 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have Wikipedia entry pending review (Cytometry Part A) that contains an image (Cytometry Part A Cover.gif)in Infobox. It has recently been commented out by the user Stefan4, because he said that it wasn't associated with any articles. However, it was associated with the abovementioned article. Having this image in my Wikipedia post is crucial for the article, so please keep it there.I can always add it later, but I would like it to be there after the article passes the review and first appears online. Many thanks in advance!

WileyLS AnaM (talk) 14:14, 15 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This is a procedural matter. Please see Wikipedia:NFCC#9. The image simply may not be used in the Draft: namespace. When the article is good enough for acceptance and is accepted you may add it back with pleasure. You may or may not need to re-upload it at that point. Non free images that are not in use in articles are deleted. Fiddle Faddle 10:31, 18 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I am writing my first article and apologise for not understanding. How do I add a reference? What is the process to give something a reference nomber?

Thank you,

After I edited in Sandbox How do I then attach my sandbox edits to the battery Wiki Page. I want to add us to: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_electric_vehicle_battery_manufacturers "List of electric vehicle battery manufacturers" ..as we are one of them -THANKYOU

Rbelleisle (talk) 22:24, 15 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You may be misunderstanding a sandbox. We use it, among other things, for experimentation, and also for the creation of draft articles. Once you are satisfied that your experiment works you may edit a mainspace article to add the information you wish to add. Please always use an edit summary (a field just above the 'save page' button). However you may not use WIkipedia to promote your own company.
If I have not understood your question please come back to this section and ask it with greater precision Fiddle Faddle 10:25, 18 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I recently submitted an article for review, about a record production group "The Order". It was declined and I'm curious as to why. I don't have much experience with this, what can I do to ensure that this gets published. Thanks in advance.

Dcgreene88 (talk) 23:56, 15 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You seem already to have found this, but User:Dcgreene88/sandbox was declined for the reasons given on the page itself. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 07:15, 18 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
