Hello Wikipedia, I have received a message from Wikipedia which states that the article I had submitted has been refused because of copyright violations. I do not see any cause for that comment unless it is a very small quotation from 'The Wisdom of Patanjali's Yoga Sutras'. Could you help me to see what might be a problem and how to make the article ready for publication. Thank you. Priscilla Murray Priscillamurray (talk) 00:26, 26 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

To editor Priscillamurray: The deletion log indicates that the page was a copyright violation of this book page. Perhaps the text of your article matched the "About the Author" section?
To avoid copyright violations, editors should state information in their own words, citing the sources. Anon126 (notify me of responses! / talk / contribs) 05:20, 26 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I note the message about the long backlog in reviewing submitted articles, but am puzzled that whenever I take a look at my submitted article about Richard Pine I am told in the box at the top of the draft that my article has not yet been submitted. Can you tell me if this article is actually in the queue for review or of I have to do more to ensure that I join that queue - in the latter case please advise? Many thanks. @Sibadd:   Declined Yes, sometimes when the article is submitted a template indicating such is placed at the bottom but the box at the top indicating otherwise stays at the top. I don't know why this happens. In any case, I declined your submission. You included only one reference and its the link to the school the subject created, which violates a few policies and guidelines. Please find independent reliable sources. Mr. John Banks Elliott was Ghana s first Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Moscow USSR from 1960 to 1966. During his tenure, he was Dean of the Diplomatic CorpsDorothyelliott (talk) 22:56, 26 April 2014 (UTC), Head Commonwealth Ambassadors, Head African and Diplomats, Head African Ambassadors GroupDorothyelliott (talk) 21:59, 26 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Dorothyelliott: Your entry cites no sources. While your subject may be notable, you haven't helped establish that. Take a look at this article from the Pittsburgh Courier. You also possible have a conflict of interest. Finally, your sandbox has the same paragraph repeated thrice, and you misspelled "corps" in each of them, including your submission above.
