  Done Hello

A couple of weeks ago I submitted article 'Stefan Rusconi (Artist)' for submission.

  • During the submission procedure your system indicated that the yellow-gray text block on the submission procedure would stay their untill an automated procedure would eliminate it. This text block is still there. Thus, I do not know if my submission did work.
  • Today I repeated the submission what means that I have to wait additional couple of weeks ...

Could you please answer 2 questions?

  • Did my 1st submission work?
  • if it worked: Could you please eliminate the 2nd submission to avoid that I have to wait for several additional weeks?

Best regards - Studi321

Hello Studi321 , your submission did indeed work, and I have removed the redundant templates and moved your yellow box to the top. It's an annoying formatting issue that we really need to get fixed, so apologies for your frustration.
That said, once your article arrives at review, the current draft is not likely to publish, so I would suggest you work on improving it while awaiting review. Biography articles absolutely require significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." Right now some of your most reliable sources (ZHdK, Jazz Barrage, etc) mention Rusconi not at all on the link you provide, or just in passing (thus not "significant coverage"), or are references to Rusconi's own page or that of a group he's in. I strongly suggest you read our guideline WP:Notability (music).
If the article does not have sourcing that meets requirements, it cannot be approved. MatthewVanitas (talk) 15:04, 29 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Wikipedia Help Desk,

I'm completely new on Wikipedia and I tried to create a page on my student association. Could you perhaps elaborate on why the submission was rejected? Thank you!

As was stated on the submission page, your article did not cite any reliable sources. Have a look at referencing for beginners and citing sources for more information. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 16:13, 29 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,

My article is about a book 'UNBOUND; Wit and Courage lead to Triumph" I authored, and was recently published. How do I create a page for this book?

Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.229.250.240 (talk) 17:23, 29 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Publishing a book generally isn't enough in itself to be notable enough for a Wikipedia article, unless it's a bestseller or critically acclaimed. Our notability guidelines for authors has more information. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 18:05, 29 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I was just wandering why the submission was declined. I realize that it was not well written, but it has no existence on Wikipedia, and thought that there should be at least a page to reference it.

Hello NikonJR , did you read the big pink box at the top of the page, and the very specific comment the reviewer wrote underneath it? Can you check those out and let us know if you have any further, specific questions just so we're not repeating what's already been said? MatthewVanitas (talk) 20:32, 29 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

My article has now been waiting since the 2nd of September for review. The first review of this piece in late August took less than two weeks - what on Earth is taking so long? There seems to be no notification of progress whatsoever. - As a matter of fact the list of other articles awaiting review doesn't seem to have changed since I submitted. What's the hold up? By taking so long you're delaying any changes I could be making. JAMooney (talk) 20:16, 29 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello JAMooney , as noted on the "Submission" template: This may take over 3 weeks. The Articles for creation process is very highly backlogged. Please be patient. There are 1985 submissions waiting for review. There is a big backlog-clearing mission planned for October, so that should clear things out pretty quickly, but until then we're pretty backed up.
That said, nobody is delaying any changes, you are welcome to make any changes you like at any point in the process. The feedback about things that may need to be changed is delayed, certainly, but so long as you've read WP:Notability (music) you should have a pretty good idea of how to get everything in place for review. Sorry about the delay, but we are tackling the backlog in force in just another few days. MatthewVanitas (talk) 20:31, 29 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, i have been working on the article Air bearing recently and the person supervising my work ,called AnupMehra, hasn't responded lately... The article is as good as finished...There is only one last thing to solve: my problem is that I am having an issue with my sources because they are german and i need to know how i should insert them so that it is done correctly. Of course I also looked the internet up for english sources but there are none which are good(this subject is at its roots german hitech)...For further informations check out my Talk page.

I have made a few changes to the submission and found a few issues and added "afc comments" describing them. The most serious one is the appearance of having a non-neutral point of view once you get past the first few paragraphs. Specifically, you list the advantages without listing the disadvantages, and you do not show that the advantages you list are generally accepted by the scientific and engineering community. You can respond to the issues I have raised by editing the article and by adding the following above the ---- when you edit the article:
  • {{afc comment|1=Your reply goes here. ~~~~}}
