edit

hi folks

i'm confused as to why my article has been rejected. the notes say that it lacks references, but i believe every statement made in the article is corroborated. in addition, it is more referenced than similar articles on wikipedia, such as soft skull press and greywolf press, which would be in the same interest area. the article draft is Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/6directions. i would appreciate any tips you can suggest.6directions (talk) 03:32, 18 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The majority of your sources are primary sources such as the websites of the organizations bestowing awards on Red Moon Press or Red Moon Press' own website. Wikipedia content should be based on third-party coverage such as newspapers or articles about Red Moon Press in reputable literary magazines. Other problematic and insufficiently sourced articles may exist, but that's no reason to create more; each submission must stand its own merits. Huon (talk) 03:41, 18 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

thank you huon for your quick and well-argued reply. all my "primary sources" references originated in journals, and i can easily source them there (i thought i was making things easier to find by sending them to a single site). i'll do as you suggest and try again. 6directions (talk) 14:14, 19 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi

I have just submitted an article but I would like to include a photo. I am trying to make my submission similar to the Crowne Plaza Shanghai Anting Golf, please could you help me?

Thank you

  • You need to be autoconfirmed (ie: have an account older than 4 days and more than 10 edits) before you can upload a photo. However, based on the content on your article, consider whether a sister project such as Wikivoyage would be a more appropriate place. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 15:48, 18 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there guys I would like to have permission to have a page on wikipedia — Preceding unsigned comment added by MyKagiso (talkcontribs) 18:03, 18 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

In order to gain such permission, you will need to read, understand, and act upon the information on this page: WP:42. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 18:24, 18 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The article already exists - Kagiso. The draft writer is one of a group of editors who have over many months tried to linkspam their website onto the article, just take a look at the history to see how persistent it has been. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 19:36, 18 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The author of the draft is one of the usernames named in a current sockpuppet investigation - WP:Sockpuppet investigations/DjMlindos. -- Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 14:22, 20 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
