Ezra Pound (1885–1972) was an expatriate American poet and critic who was a major figure of the early modernist movement. His contribution to poetry began with his development of Imagism, a movement derived from classical Chinese and Japanese poetry, stressing clarity, precision and economy of language. His best-known works include Ripostes (1912), Hugh Selwyn Mauberley (1920) and the unfinished 120-section epic, The Cantos (1917–69). (Full article...)

Nominated by EamonnPKeane for the "100th anniversary of first publishing of Blast". Blurb needs work but that can be done. I'll leave messages for the three FAC co-noms. BencherliteTalk 16:27, 9 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Victoria is on a wikibreak but has indicated that she would like to wait until she is back here before a TFA nom, to prepare the blurb, deal with any talk queries on the day, and that. Thank you Bencherlite for the notification, and EamonnPKeane for spotting the upcoming anniversary of BLAST. Ceoil (talk) 21:06, 10 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
