I don't see the point of this template. The project is inactive and Citizendium is pretty much inactive at this point too. Deleting it will mean one less banner with no purpose cluttering up talk pages. Rreagan007 (talk) 04:47, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Then you will need to MFD the project or similar. WikiProject tags are not deleted before the WikiProjects are marked historical, redirected, or deleted. Izno (talk) 01:09, 21 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete the project target website is moribund, and generally has less information and is less current on its facts than Wikipedia, so porting from Citizendium to Wikipedia seems like an exercise in futility. And if no one is contributing to the second goal of keeping Wikipedia and Citizendium synchronized, there is no need for such a template for tagging articles. One time porting from Citizendium to Wikipedia can be noted in an attribution template, and not be done with a Wikiproject banner. One time porting the other way should be noted at Citizendium. A null-edit note in the history and a talk page section missive would be all that would even be needed if one wanted to record the even here. The only needed WikiProject banner would be for the wikiproject's own administration pages, if there is no synchronization going on, which can't be happening considering the state of the wikiproject and Citizendium. So restrict the wikiproject banner to project administration pages (such as the project page, and the project banner) and remove it from article talk pages -- 65.92.244.127 (talk) 05:30, 21 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
TFD does not have scope to delete the project. You will need to take that up at MFD. Izno (talk) 05:52, 21 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Though it could apply the change with the scope of the project banner (remove it from articles, restrict it to administrative pages; turn banner tagged articles into a edit history note, like ARS or GOCE or MERGED or COPIED) -- 65.92.244.127 (talk) 22:19, 21 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The WikiProject gets to decide what pages it covers. That's like rule #1 the book. Izno (talk) 05:10, 24 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The WikiProject is inactive, and has been for 2 years [1] so, TFD can rescope the template, due to the project not being an active project -- 65.92.247.90 (talk) 03:35, 31 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No. Only WP:MFD has that power. Izno (talk) 18:13, 31 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • This should have been closed as out of scope the moment it was proposed and the nominator told to take the project to WP:MFD. Izno (talk) 18:13, 31 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
