Was Mahatma Gandhi a Pedophile?

A friend of mine claimed that Gandhi was a pedophile, and I wasn't quite sure whether or not that was true, so I went to the Wikipedia page; however, I can't seem to find any mention of it. I went to the talk page and found a couple mentions that seem to point to no? But I'm still not sure, so I was just wondering if there's anything that can prove whether or not that's actually true. I've heard that rumour here and there over the years, but it's just that - rumour, presumably concocted from the fact that he slept with young persons. Perhaps not. It's a fine line. The adult claiming nothing happened is not prima facie evidence that nothing happened, but equally, those who tar such adults with the epithet 'pedophile' without any evidence additional to the fact of their having slept together in the same bed are going a step too far. -- Jack of Oz ^{[pleasantries]} 20:22, 5 December 2023 (UTC)

Puritanism of whom? Where? When? Toward what issue? From what motivation? What is the referent? If you're going to say something on the Ref Desk (that's not a good-faith question), give at least a modicum of precision. SamuelRiv (talk) 14:55, 7 December 2023 (UTC)

same Tassaduq Hussain?

Tassaduq Hussain Mufti is a former cinematographer. Looking for confirmation ref that he is the same Tassaduq Hussain cinematographer for My Choice (2015 short film).

A Huffpost article says he is: "Her [Padukone's] voice-over was penned by film writer Kersi Khambatta, who has written both of Adjania's films, while the black-and-white video has been shot by cinematographer Tassaduq Hussain ('Omkara', 'Kaminey')." Clarityfiend (talk) 03:35, 2 December 2023 (UTC)

We do not consider IMDb a reliable source. The video was commissioned by Vogue India, so I think this article from Vogue India should be an authoritative source.  --Lambiam 08:16, 2 December 2023 (UTC)

IMDb trivia is unreliable. The casting, I have found over the course of many years, has been pretty accurate (I have found the rare error, but a very, very tiny percentage). Clarityfiend (talk) 23:02, 2 December 2023 (UTC)

Also, there are two cinematographers named Tassaduq Hussain (Mufti and Baba). The Vogue article doesn't specify which, while the Huffpost article does. Clarityfiend (talk) 23:04, 2 December 2023 (UTC)

THB writes in his bio, "I got my first big break in 2018".^[2] This implies he was not the cinematographer for My Choice.  --Lambiam 10:11, 6 December 2023 (UTC)

Tassaduq Hussain is credited on Bollywood Hungama both for the My Choice video and for the films Kaminey and Omkara.^[3][4]  --Lambiam 10:12, 6 December 2023 (UTC)
