Christopher Lloyd's role in The Oogieloves

According to IMDb and The Cinema Snob's review of The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure, Christopher Lloyd was originally considered for the role of Bobby Wobbly (a role that ultimately went to Cary Elwes). What's the source for this information? Was it mentioned in an interview or a DVD feature?
