editConflicting dates for basketball game
editHello! I am currently having issues with finding out what date this college basketball game is. According to Sports Reference, it's on December 31st, 1989. But according to HogStats, it says December 26th, 1989. I've been searching around and other than these two websites, I've not been able to find anything that could help to my quest. If you can help, I'd be very thankful! Neverbuffed (talk)
- Presumably you're talking about the Delaware State game. You might be able to get a trial subscription to Newspapers.com and then look for it. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 02:18, 19 January 2021 (UTC)
- It was December 26, as noted in various newspapers on the 27th. Final score 117-75. So Hogstats has it right ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 03:23, 19 January 2021 (UTC)
- Just as an aside, there may be several good reasons why the dates may be different; basketball schedules can change, and there may have been a conflict that required the Razorbacks to move their game up against Delaware State to December 26 from an originally scheduled date of December 31. If one source went by the original schedule, and another by the rescheduled date, that could explain the discrepancy. --Jayron32 16:28, 19 January 2021 (UTC)
