What is meant by "extraction papers"?

edit

In the movie The Shape of Water, there is a scene where Bob/Dimitri's Russian handlers tell him that they would give him his "extraction papers" (It was later in this scene when the handlers realized that he had disobeyed their orders to poison the creature). In this context, does "extraction papers" mean documents which Bob/Dimitri would submit to the lab in order to get him released from being employed there, or does it mean something else entirely? 67.83.118.216 (talk) 05:13, 26 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

More context from the film would be helpful. Generally (per Google search) "extraction papers" relate to extraction from scientific research papers (which might make sense in a laboratory setting). But I suspect it relates to the dictionary definition: the action of taking out something, especially using effort or force (as in Extraction (film). —107.15.157.44 (talk) 05:28, 26 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
It's been a while since I saw the film, but I think they meant cloak-and-dagger, spy documents, i.e. faked papers to help him get out of the country undetected. See extraction (military). Clarityfiend (talk) 06:07, 26 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
