Pokemon Gold and Silver

Hi, I was just looking at the article for it and I was surprised to find that the internal battery runs out after 6 years! Well, I've had my game cartridge for >6 years--what do I do? I have so many valuables in it: a #151 Mew, lvl 100 Zapdos, all three starters in their final forms...

Well, you could always find yourself a Nintendo 64, a copy of Pokemon Stadium 2, and a transfer pak, to save your characters and transfer them back to the game after a battery replacement. But if you love the game that much, surely you'll enjoy getting to play through it all again? Spiral Wave 10:52, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

Thanks, guys. I don't have an N64, but I have a GBC (Game Boy Color) and the old GBA (Game Boy Advance). My new link cable says that it works for both GBC and GBA when I bought it, but it turns out that both Game Boys need to be EITHER GBC or GBA...anyways, I'm just ranting. I guess I'll find some guy with a working link cable or N64 transfer pack during class. Thanks for the help, I was really panicking there! And I still don't know how to make an interrobang on Wikipedia...

Mm, I thought that might be the problem. Are you sure you can't connect the GBC/GBA? There are cables to do such things, e.g. [2], or the official one. Failing that, GBC's sell for a pittance on ebay these days (cheaper than the battery replacement!), so you could even get a second one just for the swap. Spiral Wave 13:35, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

Movie about people fighting with paint

There's a movie I remember hazily from my childhood that I would like to know more about. Unfortunately I don't know the title. There were a number of groups of people (3? One for each primary colour?) each strongly associated with a colour. They traveled in great ship-like things. They had a war, that consisted of splashing paint on one another. Eventually they all ended up brown and the war was over.

I don't think it had any dialogue, which may mean it was meant for an international audience. Possibly it was associated with Expo 86 and possibly it had something to do with Kodak but I may just be making those two things up.

Nobody else remembers this and I need to ensure its existence to support an assertion of sanity. Thanks. moink 05:29, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

Who is Don Hunt who composed the 1949 song, "When the Wind Was Green?"

I've spent quite a few hours trying to research this person. It's purely a personal interest. He wrote one of the most unique and beautiful songs I've heard (title in the title section of this question), and, as far as I've been able to find, there's nothing about him, his life, birth/death dates, or other songs he may have written in any part of the Web I've looked at.

Music encyclopedias, at least the ones I've looked at, have nothing about him. Any help you can offer will be sincerely appreciated on this personal quest. It may not be easy. It took me a year of searching to find a chart of the music for his (only, as far as I know) 1949 song, sung on Sinatra's 1965 album, "September of My Years," "When the Wind Was Green."

Desktop Widget for Daily Feature Picture?

Is there a windows widget available to show and update the daily feature picture from the Wikipedia home page on my PC desktop?

Slipknot "rare" CD.

Hi everybody. I'm a big slipknot fan and I have almost every album exept one, "Slipknot". Well I actually have it but I looking for a special version of the album. It is the first pressing with songs like Frail Limb Nursery and Purity. Is this album obtainable and where can it be found???

While there aren't any listed for sale on discogs.com, here is the discogs link for the release you desire. Discogs.com is a surprisingly useful tool for looking up information in rare releases (especially info like the release label and whatnot).--droptone 19:48, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
