Page mover

Requesting page mover rights for my frequent work on video game character articles, many of which involve writing up an article on a userpage to later move to where a previous redirect may exist and working alongside other editors towards this end. Kung Fu Man (talk) 17:48, 4 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not done, as I'm not seeing any need. If someone writes a new article in their userspace, and they're the only editor, they can simply copy/paste their content into any existing redirect or article. Prime example is the nonsense happening around Locke Cole/User:Cukie Gherkin/Locke Cole. If you find yourself making a number of RM/TR requests for pages that don't fit this bill (which I see none of to date) there might be more of an argument for granting. I would like to have page moving rights because of many company articles with incorrect article names with their correct names being the redirects. WiinterU 00:24, 5 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not done per lack of demonstrated need; no RM/TR requests, very little RM participation, and none of the moves you have made seem to indicate that suppression of a redirect or a round-robin page move were necessary. Primefac (talk) 11:48, 7 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  1. I often move articles in a space (China and Chinese-related topics) where there are specific naming conventions that are uncontroversial moves, sometimes requiring #delete-redirect.
  2. I often move pages around in my userspace, and #suppress-redirect would perhaps clutter the U1 log less. Remsense 23:12, 5 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Done for three months. Primefac (talk) 11:51, 7 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'm requesting page mover rights to draftify articles without having to go through WP:CSD. I have lots of experience at WP:AFC and WP:NPP reviewing and moving pages and meet the minimum requirements. Clearfrienda 💬 21:57, 6 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  Done. Primefac (talk) 11:52, 7 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
