- Ugh, I hate having to ask for things like new user rights or edit requests. It makes me feel like a toddler asking permission from mum for more time with the telly. Well, here I am.
Elliot321 and Trialpears both pointed out to me recently that I would qualify for this user right. I keep finding myself having a need to modify template-protected pages (See: here, here, here, and here).
If you would like to see a recent edit request of mine that has been denied, then you can refer to this one. Though, I may just have figured out a way to do what I was trying to do there (discussion).
I thought the last user right that I really would need would've been WP:NPP (no more hats needed; thx!). However, I finally decided to swallow my pride when I stumbled on Template:WikiProject Articles for creation/class where I decided I need to just give in and request TPE. –MJL ‐Talk‐☖ 22:48, 23 February 2021 (UTC)

- I'm inclined to do a probationary grant (4 months) , which yes will mean MJL will have to come back and ask for for permission again - but will let them get to work now, while being mindful of ensuring that their edits to protected pages reflect a consensus - most non-trivial edits to high risk pages should involved sandboxing, testing, announcing, then implementing. Sometimes noone will respond to the announcement, and that is fine. Will leave open for a day in case there are any good reasons to not more forwward here. — xaosflux Talk 20:19, 24 February 2021 (UTC)
- @Xaosflux: That's fine with me. If I don't need this particular right after the trial period, then I won't have to come back here.
Just don't hold this edit request against me![FBDB]
In all seriousness, will it be obvious that I am editing a template-protected page with the template editor user right? –MJL ‐Talk‐☖ 20:33, 24 February 2021 (UTC)
