I've listed this article for peer review because I want this article to be able to pass the A-class nomination, and am looking to improve it over the summer.

• For A-class, make sure that the entire article is fully cited

• Some of the current citations are of questionable reliability

Gog the Mild

Not much more than a drive by comment:

• I was a little surprised at how little there was on the Merlin engine.
• Similarly I couldn't find anything on the change to a constant speed propeller in the summer of 1940.

It may be that these omissions are deliberate, I appreciate that something has to give, but for me it seemed odd.

• the sentence ending with "...already busy building Walrus and Stranraer flying boats, and Vickers was busy building Wellington bombers" needs a citation
• same as above for the sentence ending with "...UK and the largest and most successful plant of its type during the 1939–45 conflict"
• there are several uncited, or only partially cited paragraphs in the production dispersal section
• the sentence ending with "provide an almost continual flow of valuable intelligence information throughout the war" needs a citation
• same as above for the paragraph ending with "The last Lend-Lease shipment carrying the Mk IX arrived at the port of Severodvinsk on 12 June 1945"
• same as above for the sentence ending "Spitfire pilots had to adopt a "slash and run" policy and use their faster speed and diving superiority to fight, while avoiding classic dogfights"
• same as above for the paragraph ending "reached 606 mph (975 km/h) (Mach 0.891) in a 45° dive"
• the tag in the Memorials section should be dealt with by adding the required citations, or removing what can't be referenced reliably
• the first sentence of the Restorations section should just be combined with the paragaph below it, and cited
• all entries, and the first paragraph of the notable appearances in media section will need citing, or removal if they can't be sourced
• (very minor point) some of the citations use slightly different formats, for instance compare "Rearden (1995)" with "McKinstry 2007" and then "Keith, Claude Hilton (1946). I Hold My Aim. G. Allen and Unwin Limited. p. 78." For A-class these should be consistent
• citations # 156 and 157 (adf serials) should be formatted to include the authors, title, publisher and accessdate
• for a successful A-class review, even the notes will need citations. I note that some of them are currently cited, but some aren't
