Sparks (band) edit

Article on the innovative and influential band centred around the Mael brothers, Ron and Russell. This article has been expanding recently but very few editors are contributing to its development, its desperately needs more contributors as well as comment and recommendations--KaptKos 15:55, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Compared to a recently promoted band FA (New Radicals) it doesn't seem far off. It could probably do with:
  • something more on the Maels
  • something about their new album in the 'current revival' section
  • the style section could be bigger, especially the bits about lyrics and influences
I might do a bit of this over the next week or so if I get the time. --Cherry blossom tree 23:08, 22 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Great, I think the whole thing could do with prose polishing and each history section should be more balanced in size, the last two sections are woefully lacking. Things I'll try to do this week:
  • Audio samples - I rekon "This town..", "Big Boy", "#1 Song in Heaven","When do I get to sing my way","Perfume" should do
I'm having trouble ripping some of my cds and I can't find some more, so I can't put up all of the clips I said I would. If anybody has the suggested clips, or if you want to put up others, please do so. In the mean time I'll continue rummaging KaptKos 10:35, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Images - I'll get as many as I can and put them on the article discussion page so we can discuss the best ones to use
  • Get more chart info
*Reformat refs to comply with {{cite web}} (thanks Whouk :))--KaptKos 09:05, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

All of the albums now have stubs and Kimono My House now has the correct cover --KaptKos 11:25, 6 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This has just received Good Article status which is great, or Good at least, but the article still requires more editors to copyedit, prose polish and come up with additional detail. Its a good article it won't make FA unless more get involved. Come on, its Sparks for cryin out loud--KaptKos 13:20, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
