Fighting in ice hockey edit

I have been working on this article for some time, trying to get it up to possible FA status. I've been looking at it for so long that I kind of go cross-eyed sometimes, so I would appreciate a fresh perspective. In particular, I am looking for feedback on:

What I may not have covered well, or at all.
Areas where the prose might seem too "hockey fan-ish" or seem to use jargon.
Areas weak in wikilinking.
Anything else you can think of!

This is the first time that I comment on a peer review so I'm not sure if I do this right. I think that the refrences should be categorized. For example the refrence section should IMO be categorized in Print and Online sources. And the citations section should change name to "footnotes" and then placed after the reference section. --Krm500 01:30, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I renamed Citations to footnotes. Have you seen any other articles where references are categorized? The style guide at WP:CITE suggests just an alphabetical list, as is the standard for scholarly papers and such. It is also a normal standard to place references last in a document, after footnotes - have you seen it done otherwise in a logical fashion? I don't necessarily disagree with those points, I'm just curious if it is against the standard that will be a problem for obtaining FA status. --Mus Musculus (talk) 15:51, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I really think this article should be merged with Violence in ice hockey. The two cover largely the same issues, and their content could be easily integrated. Also, as I mentioned on the above article's talk page, neither article seems to mention the 2004 Flyers-Senators brawl; this had the most single-team penalty minutes and most overall penalty minutes in the game's history, and is unquestionably notable enough for inclusion. Hi, and thanks for your great feedback! The issue of the merger has been discussed several times within WikiProject Ice Hockey and on the article talk page, and the consensus was that they are about separate topics. Violence in ice hockey should probably be tuned up so it doesn't overlap, since it is supposed to be about illegal on-ice incidents like the Bertuzzi-Moore one that had nothing to do with legal fighting. I would love to include the Flyers-Senators brawl - do you have a source? If not, I will try to find one this weekend. --Mus Musculus (talk) 15:48, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
