Each label can have its own theme. To add a theme, simply add "|theme=name" to the labels, as shown in the examples below. The following themes are currently defined.
Default theme
edit{{label name}}
Basic theme
edit{{label name |theme=basic}}
Tab theme
edit{{label name |theme=tab}}
Tab2 theme
edit{{label name |theme=tab2}}
Pink theme
edit{{label name |theme=pink}}
Enclosing labels with templates
editNormal tray themes
editThere are currently five ways to theme the usual tray template, WP:Keep It Simple/tray top. For layouts that do not use templates, please see #Complex themes below.
Default
edit{{WP:Keep It Simple/tray top}} ... {{WP:Keep It Simple/tray bottom}}
Lilacbox
edit{{WP:Keep It Simple/tray top |theme=lilacbox}} ... {{WP:Keep It Simple/tray bottom}}
Warm
edit{{WP:Keep It Simple/tray top |theme=warm}} ... {{WP:Keep It Simple/tray bottom}}
Cool
edit{{WP:Keep It Simple/tray top |theme=cool}} ... {{WP:Keep It Simple/tray bottom}}
Custom
editIt is possible to customise the appearance to a certain extent. For details, please see WP:Keep It Simple/tray top.
Box themes
editThese themes use WP:Keep It Simple/box top, which places a box around the normal tray.
Default
edit{{WP:Keep It Simple/box top}} ... {{WP:Keep It Simple/box bottom}}
Text floats around the box.
Complex themes
editThese themes haven't yet been implemented as templates. Instead of using {{WP:Keep It Simple/tray top}} and {{WP:Keep It Simple/tray bottom}}, enclose the KIS labels with the provided code.
Colored table (nested)
editColored table with labels nested inside, and centered. Table width adjusts with increase of boxes. If table begins to wrap, a second row can be added by removing the "hide" tags. Background color can be changed to fit personal preference.
Code:
{| border="1" cellpadding="5" |align="center" bgcolor="#4682B4" width="80%"|{{WP:KIS/KIS}} {{WP:KIS/wikipedia/Administrator|nocat=true}}{{WP:KIS/Babel/en|nocat=true}} |- <!-- second row (remove this line if second row is used) |align="center" bgcolor="#4682B4" width="80%"|Labels go here (remove this line if second row is used)--> |}
Will show:
Invisible table
editIf you prefer no visible table, use:
Code:
{| border="0" cellpadding="0" width="90%" | Labels go here |}
It will show:
Placed on visible table (card rail)
editLabels placed on top of visible border (looking like a library-card rail) with left-alignment:
Code:
{| style="border-bottom:2px solid; border-spacing:1px; width:90%;" | Labels go here |}
It will show:
Labels go here |
Then just add your labels there and will look something like:
Icon Corners
editYou can also place labels in an Icon Corner with userboxes and loose icons:
{{user icon corner top|Wikipedia:Keep_It_Simple}} |colspan=5|{{User:Mike Serfas/Userboxes/Developmental Biology}} |- |{{WP:KIS/Babel/en}} |{{User icon US state|PA|size=large}} |{{User:Mike Serfas/Icon/Biologist}} |{{User:Mike Serfas/Icon/Evolutionary Biology}} |{{WP:KIS/WPMedicine}} |- {{user icon corner bottom}}
