WP:FFU

Welcome to Files for Upload, part of WikiProject Articles for creation. This process was created to allow unregistered users to add new files to Wikipedia with the assistance of experienced Wikipedians. If you would like to upload an image yourself, you can create an account and after four days and 10 edits you will be autoconfirmed and able to upload files. However, please consider uploading free files over at the Wikimedia Commons (instructions for creating an account there can be found here).

If you are an experienced editor, then you can help out by reviewing requests.

Make sure you're familiar with Wikipedia's policies on non-free content (or simplified version).

After uploading the file tag its talk page with {{subst:WPAFCF}}.
Remember to subst all templates.
Notify the requester at their talk page using {{subst:ffu talk}} ~~~~ whenever you act on their request.
You are responsible for anything you upload, so make sure you are comfortable that the file satisfies Wikipedia's policies first.
If the file is non-free, then you must insert the file in the appropriate article right away in order to comply with the non-free content criteria.

We only accept works released under a free content license, which allows anyone to reuse the work for any purpose. If you are willing to release the poster under such a license, see the instructions at Commons:Volunteer response team. If it could be uploaded as non-free content that would be great! The copyright holders only informed me that they would like the poster to be uploaded on the documentary's Wikipedia page but did not inform me of the specific licensing information and I can't find anything about it online since it was a small, independent film made almost entirely by the copyright holders/directors. WaterTower Music is a record label, not a license. I see nothing in the mentioned link that suggests this image is freely licensed (or public domain. The english Wikipedia accepts images which are neither only if they meet all of the non-free content criteria, one of which is that the page they're used on is an article. In the other pages Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (soundtrack) and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (soundtrack) there are also cover images that have the same licence, so it should be uploaded at the article or draft Draft:Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore (soundtrack) 190.21.184.81 (talk) 02:16, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The album covers in the other articles have been uploaded under fair use. Hoverwer, as I have told 201.188.130.53 above, we don't permit fair use images in the draft namespace, and so we'll have to wait until Draft:Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore (soundtrack) is promoted to an article. We don't usally keep requests pendining on a draft getting promoted open, hovewer you're welcome to start a new request once that has happened. (Btw, if you're the same person as 201.188.130.53 above, you should't be editing here until 201.188.130.53's block expires in ~3 months. Blocks apply per person, not per ip/user account). Comment: Can you show some examples of this seal being used? This page tells me we should use the word mark. You therefore need a very strong case for the importance of this seal for it to pass non-free content criterion one (no free equivalent). Article To Be Used On/Reason For Upload: Tornado outbreak and derecho of April 1-3, 2024, there is an insufficient number of images of the outbreak. Two of the three images in the article are images that a reader wouldn’t necessarily expect to see in a tornado outbreak article (and I have since removed them).

These images (that I am requesting to be uploaded) need to at least be on Commons. Will let uploader choose between the dozens of files that are on the above webpages, not all of them need uploaded unless the pictures will be attached to each tornado section individually.

There are also hail images from the second link that can be used to replace one of the “not-exactly-encyclopedic” images that used to be on the article.
