Overview of Regine Velasquez

Regine Velasquez is a Filipino singer and actress. She rose to prominence after winning the talent show Ang Bagong Kampeon in 1984 and the Asia Pacific Singing Contest in 1989. Velasquez achieved commercial success in some Asian territories with her albums Listen Without Prejudice (1994), My Love Emotion (1995), and Retro (1996). Outside of music, she has starred in films, including Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw (2000), Till I Met You (2006), and Of All the Things (2013), while she took on starring roles in the the prime time television series Forever in My Heart (2004), Diva (2010), and Poor Señorita (2016). She also expanded her career into reality television talent shows, serving as a presenter on Star for a Night (2002), Pinoy Pop Superstar (2004), and The Clash (2018); and as a judge on StarStruck (2015) and Idol Philippines (2019). In a career spanning three decades, Velasquez is the recipient of numerous awards, including two Asian Television Awards, two MTV Asia Awards, 15 Aliw Awards (including three Entertainer of the Year wins), 21 Awit Awards, and 22 Box Office Entertainment Awards.

• Support Comments I am not sure about the inclusion of a photo of Velasquez on The Main Event Tour in the 2008–2012 section of her article, as this tour is not mentioned in prose. Also, any instances of AllMusic across these articles should cite it as the sole publisher for consistency, WordPress should not be used in the awards and nominations one per WP:RSP and the lead of songs recorded should be cut down to four paras to comply with WP:LEAD. It took me a while to comment since initially I was quite busy and then the main article was going through a copyedit so it was appropriate to wait until that was complete; these articles are broad in their coverage, well-researched using a variety of sources! The topic description is intriguing too with its detail, also I commend you for maintaining the correct form of English there. --K. Peake 15:53, 9 December 2021 (UTC)

• @Kyle Peake: thank you for your feedback, I have addressed each of the points raised. I've replaced the image in the section with something that has been mentioned in the prose. Parameters for cites on AllMusic updated, believe there was only one where I had Tivo as publisher, fixed that. I can't seem to find any source where I used WordPress.com, that may have been a downloadable source of winners in Word Document format taken from the official Awit Awards site, updated the parameter to avoid confusion. For songs recorded, the only extra sentence I have merged with the fourth para, hopefully that still meets the WP:LEAD criteria. Much appreciate your time in reviewing the articles.
