Brandon BlackstoneEdit

Brandon Blackstone is NOT Reba McIntire’s son. Brandon is getting a divorce from Kelly Clarkson. Brandon Blackstone is Reba’s step-son by her former husband. Does that make him still her step-son if she is no longer married to Mr Blackstone? Ha. Lulu Burns, Nashville,TN

Hi user, you need to provide adequate context. What page are you referring to, and what is the issue for which you are requesting assistance? An editor can only assist you with such necessary background details. In addition, please sign your posts with your Wikipedia username, and avoid giving any personal details. Thanks! Luke Jones and Times RadioEdit

Please can an editor/admin take a look at this discussion. This person seems to think they have an overall rule on Times Radio presenters and I'm trying to explain that if someone doesn't have an article they shouldn't be included in the presenters list. It's also mentioned on my talk page here. Any help or input on these pages would be gratefully received. - Funky Snack (Talk) 11:47, 15 July 2020 (UTC)

Hi @Funky Snack: I have done a thorough review of this discussion and it seems it has been escalated to other venues. Is additional help still needed? PinkElixir (talk) 03:20, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
Hi @PinkElixir:, I think we're sorted now., thank you. It was a spat over whether a list of non-notable people should be added to the list of broadcasters on the Times Radio article. The only one who seemed to think the list should include all broadcasters (including those who were non-notable) withdrew from the discussion and think it's been agreed to leave the list as it is for now. - Funky Snack (Talk) 15:46, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
Hi @PinkElixir:, it would appear the issue is not resolved after all. Please see Talk:Times Radio. Are you still in a position to offer advice? - Funky Snack (Talk) 08:48, 30 July 2020 (UTC)
Hi @Funky Snack:, what exactly are you looking for editor assistance on? I'm seeing several open discussion threads. It seems a user has requested assistance from the Arbitration Committee for the disagreement over the presenters list, so please let me know how else I can help. Political party meta/color pagesEdit

How do I create a meta/color page for a political party? I have created the Our West Lancashire page and would like to add the colours for this Party. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DanJWilde (talkcontribs) 20:26, 17 July 2020 (UTC)

Cochin Jews - Remove Christian speculationEdit

There is no historic proof or record on the conversion of Cochin Jews to Christianity or any other religion. The cited references do not support this. There are numerous contemporary groups all over the world who speculate on their links to Jews. Known similarities in some the practices of the Abrahamic religions does not mean ethnic connection. YaLindaHadad (talk) 13:50, 20 July 2020 (UTC)

I see that you are already discussing this in the right place, Talk:Cochin Jews. What assistance do you need? Maproom (talk) 21:47, 20 July 2020 (UTC)

What's happening here? What about CHRISTIAN SPECULATION — Preceding unsigned comment added by EzinneAnwuri (talkcontribs) 10:01, 2 August 2020 (UTC)

This page could be canceled: , it is in Danish language, in English and German it is accepted. I made a copie of the English page to Danish page. Do know a solution for that? Wname1 (talk) 06:32, 25 July 2020 (UTC)

@Wname1:, articles on the Danish Wikipedia are not controlled by the English Wikipedia. That project is separately-run but should have some equivalent to our Deletion Policy. You might try Wikipedia:Sletningsforslag. I hope this helps. Eggishorn (talk) (contrib) 19:55, 26 July 2020 (UTC)

Disabled person reclaiming "crip"Edit

The term crip is derogatory and hurtful, as a disabled person, I am offended by the notion that disabled persons are trying to reclaim this term as stated in wikipedia article at URL This is ridiculous as someone saying that Black persons are trying to reclaim the "N" word. Respectfully, AR in CA (talk) 23:56, 29 July 2020 (UTC) AR in CA

@AR in CA:, if you read the article through, you see this passage: The reclaiming of "crip" is not universally accepted by disabled people. Other extensive discussion also exists in the article that is well-sourced and follows our Core Content Policies. Wikipedia is not censored and we will all find something to be offended about in these pages. And, just for the record, Black Americans have been trying to reclaim the n-word for a generation or more now. Eggishorn (talk) (contrib) 03:58, 30 July 2020 (UTC)
It's also worth remembering that Wikipedia is a global encyclopaedia, and language usage varies widely across the English speaking world. I have certainly heard disabled people use "crip" in a humorous, self-deprecatory way in my country. HiLo48 (talk) 04:20, 30 July 2020 (UTC)

Unsourced Iranian accomplishments?Edit

I've just gone over Windcatcher; it formerly treated windcatchers as an Iranian invention copied by some other countries. The sources don't seem to support this, and it seems unlikely that something as simple as a windscoop would not be repeatedly reinvented in many widely-scattered places.

This may not be an isolated problem. Category:Iranian inventions, and many of the articles in it, may need this sort of attention. I'd appreciate anyone willing to go over any article. HLHJ (talk) 05:08, 3 August 2020 (UTC)
