Function overview: 1x/day purge/forcelinkupdate of WP:TFA Title
A couple notes.
First, this is intended to replace User:LourdesBot, at Lourdes' request.
Second, my apologies for the untimely stoppage of the currently approved tasks while I was away on Antarctica. Apparently an environment change on my machine (a local update? Hard to say) left my PERL MediaWiki unable to login. After several attempts at diagnosis, I eventually "did the right thing" and simply got a Tool Labs account and installed it there. I also took the liberty of doing some code cleanup, refactoring a lot of cut-and-pasted code. That code appears to be working smoothly now, and I have no plans to be away from the internets for months going forward. In any case, implementation here should now be a one-liner using the same code already working for tasks 2 and 10.

Function details: Purge, with forcelinkupdate, WP:TFA Title once a day. To quote the request for LourdesBot, which explains the desire better than I can:
"One of the scripts User:Lourdes/TFAhistorylink.js (a script to assist FA regulars in tracking recent changes to today's featured article), requires the page WP:TFA Title to undergo either a forcelinkupdate or a null edit every day once, after the WP:TFA has been updated (which is done at midnight UTC). I had requested Joe Decker to include this as a task at User:Joe's Null Bot. He said the bot is inactive, and if and when it is up, he would be okay doing that."

edit- This is a procedural confirmation of my request to Joe. (Thanks Joe). Lourdes 02:19, 12 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
- Speedily Approved. 1 purge/day on bot with similar tasks, no worries at all. — xaosflux Talk 02:55, 12 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
