Maytenus dhofarensis edit

Great edits to Maytenus dhofarensis, Ruttya fruticosa and Blepharis dhofarensis!

I have made some minor changes to the first of these. (It's important to have scientific names in italics and better no to start sentences with abbreviations.) This page has some useful hints on writing good plant articles.

Maytenus dhofarensis has a new name (Gymnosporia dhofarensis) but let's leave it as M. dhofarensis for now.

I sincerely hope you keep improving plant pages and starting new ones. Your contributions are greatly valued. Gderrin (talk) 07:19, 30 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Inferences about medical effects of plants edit

Please be careful about adding medical content with weak sources about poorly studied plants, especially those concerning ancient literature. Medical content on Wikipedia requires high-quality evidence as explained in the guide, WP:MEDRS, and this tutorial. --Zefr (talk) 05:30, 29 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for May 30 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Swami Sharnanandji, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Eid (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 14:20, 30 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Invitation to an in-person meetup in Mohua / Golden Bay edit

Golden Bay Air are holding some seats for us until 21 November

Thinking about your summer break? Think about joining other Wikipedians and Wikimedians in Golden Bay / Mohua! Details are on the meetup page. There's heaps of interesting stuff to work on e.g. the oldest extant waka or New Zealand's oldest ongoing legal case. Or you may spend your time taking photos and then upload them.

Golden Bay is hard to get to and the airline flying into Tākaka uses small planes, so we are holding some seats from and to Wellington and we are offering attendees a $200 travel subsidy to help with costs.

Be in touch with Schwede66 if this event interests you and you'd like to discuss logistics. Schwede66 09:14, 13 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
