Welcome to the Guild of Copy Editors edit

Welcome to the ranks of Wikipedia editors, and welcome to the Guild of Copy Editors. The GoCE is a challenging project to join, even for the experienced Wikipedia editors, but I am glad that you have taken on the task. I did very few edits for the Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors/Backlog elimination drives/November 2012, but I did do a substantial amount of work on two earlier drives. I would be glad to assist you if you have questions about the work, or about particular articles. You can just leave a short comment on my talk page. --DThomsen8 (talk) 14:06, 1 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

American Indian Stories edit

I see that you did some editing on American Indian Stories, with the comment "(Copyedits pt1)." If you intend to do more on this article, please feel free to continue on with it. If you continue copy editing on on this article, you should change Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors/Backlog elimination drives/January 2013#zippygirl to include {{Working}} [[American Indian Stories]] () with the size of the article before copy editing, and you should tag the article itself with {{GOCEeffort}}so other GoCE members know you are working on it.

If you find all those details too much for you, please let me know. Go on to other articles with copy editing, or do American Indian Stories with my assistance.

I take a generous and open view of copy editing an article, including making sure the article has the appropriate WikiProject templates on the talk page. In this case, I created the talk page with the{{WikiProject Books|class=start|importance=low}} {{WikiProject Indigenous peoples of North America|class=start}} {{WikiProject Mythology|class=start|importance=low}} templates on it. I have not changed the article, but I see many places to make improvements, including links to other articles, rewording for clarity, and technical issues like having the section head ==References== at the very end. To reply to me about this article, just start a reply with a single colon for indenting right here.--DThomsen8 (talk) 14:23, 1 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, technical problem with the above section. edit

I am having a technical problem with the above section, and will work it out in my sandbox. Sorry, maybe you can figure out what I am saying in spite of the technical problem with the nowiki syntax.--DThomsen8 (talk) 14:45, 1 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

The technical problem is fixed after considerable effort, but I confess that I do not know why there was a problem, only that repeating the nowiki insertions cured it. --DThomsen8 (talk) 18:31, 1 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
